An Easy-to-Install Snagless Strain-Relief and Boot for Use with Simply45 RJ45's
I have installed thousands of RJ45 strain reliefs over many years. Most were the boot type, which slid over the back half of the RJ45 and just covered the tip of the latch. The problems with the boot style is that they added to the bulk of the plug, to the point that sometimes they would not fit side-by-side with the other plugs on switches and patch panels. They also stiffen with age, such that it can become difficult to depress the latch to unplug an RJ45. These snagless strain reliefs install very easily and are held into the back of the plug by the cable jacket strain relief. Of all the RJ45's I have, from several different manufacturers, these strain reliefs will only fit the Simply45 plugs.

Finishing touch to termination
The strain relief is a neccesary component of your RJ45 network cable terminations. Sure you can get away with leaving them off, but you are risking having to redo your termination. There are reasons that the better quality prefab cables have quality strain reliefs- durability and appearance. I already have a jar of the Simply 45 connectors, so sticking with the quality system was an easy choice.

Only Fits Simply45 Connectors But Easy to Install
First make sure you buy this ONLY if you bought Simply45 crimps. This will not fit generic RJ45 crimps. I tried a couple different ones, but sides do not slide into the crimp. With the Simple45 crimps, they easily insert and lock. It is all plastic. So it can be a little brittle if you bend it extreme. But that is what this is suppose to prevent. So you should be fine. They also cause the crimp to extended in length. So make sure you have the room to handle the crimp plus the strain relief or you will need to cut it off to remove it. When you install it into the simple45 crimp, it looks seamless like it was all one piece. So it will make a nice looking and professional connector.

Excellent Strain Reliefs and protection for cable
This strain reliefs are great to secure the cable and to prevent accidental the clips from breaking off or falling to the floor. Especially with Simply45 RJ45 Modular RJ45 Plugs, I think they are perfect match for each other. It is easy to use and slid on. The material is made of plastic and the tail part does offer some flexibility or you can snip off to fit your cable need. These are great cable protectors for important RJ45 cables protection. You should give it try, should handy to have them.

These work very well with the Simply45 RJ45 connectors, seamless fit.
The only real thing you need to be careful with is the plastic edge to the strain relief. If your compression/crimping tool doesn't have a slot for that piece of plastic, then it will be difficult to crimp your wire with the relief on the connector. In the video I uploaded, you can see that my first few attempts at crimping the connector created an issue, where the RJ45 connector would slide away from the stain relief plug. It took me a few seconds to realize that the plastic edge of the relief was hitting my crimper. Once I realized that, I was able to "tuck" that plastic into the opening for the RJ45 connector, which didn't seem to be an issue.I only use this one crimper, and I have for 20 years, so I won't be changing that any time soon, lol. So it will have to work. The tuck method is fine, and I've crimped dozens of connects successfully since making that video.I've made thousands of connections on CAT5/6 over my 20+ years in the tech industry, and I have to say, these reliefs work very well with the same brand connectors. No real issues aside from that crimping warning. But other than that, they work well, and do their job just fine.In comparison to cost, they function just the same as far more expensive versions, so that is a huge bonus. Very satisfied with these overall.
