What is the difference on the old and new version? is it possible i trashed $200 instead of buying a silver?

The original pricing of Session put it in direct comparison with the Hero 4 Silver. Consumers complained of the price and eventually after two price drops the Session is now 199.00. Same camera much better price point.

The difference is the box says hero session instead of hero 4 session. But the main difference is that it does not include a low profile from mount or the ball joint buckle mount. It only comes with the standard frame mount. This is due to the price drop in the camera.if you buy the older version it will come with the extra mounts but not the newer version

can i upload photos/video to social media through wi-fi? without connecting to computer through cable/ without inserting mini sd card to computer?

GoPro now has a device called a QuickKey. You can get on that will connect directly to your phone. It allows you to remove the SD card from your GoPro, insert it into the QuickKey device, then insert the QuickKey device to your phone. Then it allows you to directly load to your phone for on the go uploading - no computer required. Pretty neat device. There are other companies that make similar SD card readers that also connect to your phone, if you didn't want to go GoPro's rout.
