Great walking shoes!
Great walking shoes. Immediately comfortable, true to size and look good too. There great thing about these us that they can be worn as casual trainers as well as walking shoes. They offer good support and the soles Rick nicely while smoothing out stones etc on walls.

but I find it looks amazing. Now for the fit
Update Jan 2018: Regrettably I had to return my shoes. The upper tongue brushing on that skin area was now a problem. I really couldn't figure out why one shoe felt a lot better than the the other shoe. Checked the tongue was sitting properly. Tried wearing thicker socks to see if that fixed the problem, yet the problem persisted. A bit sad to return this item as it had a premium quality look to it. Could be a one off faulty item, hope it is. Seller was brilliant. Refunded quickly. I'm still a fan of certain Columbia shoes, and will no doubt see what else is on offer.Very impressed when i received the Peakframe Venture (grey/black). A bit getting used to if you're used to buying black or white trainers/shoes most of the time, but I find it looks amazing. Now for the fit. The first day or two, the right foot was uncomfortable as the upper tongue was brushing a bit hard near the beginning of my second and third index toes. Don't panic! Sometimes shoes need a while to break in. My tip would be to just try it around the house, that way if the seller provides a refund on the product, then this can be done, otherwise if you wear it outside and return it, then its up to the discretion of the seller. Moving on to the good stuff. Pleasantly surprised after a few tries that the shoes felt much better. I was going to return the pair if the problem persisted. There's a very minimal unease on the right foot, and really this would go away when having a proper walk outside. When moving your heel up to test how the shoe shapes, you'll find the sides extend a little. I'd prefer that, rather than having a tighter fit around the sides of your foot, which may feel constricted.Design/build/looks - My older boots were Columbia, and stood the test of time, so for build quality that will take everything that you throw at it, Columbia is the brand to look for. My pair looks rugged, yet has a trainer/sneakers look to it. It's a joy to wear as it's comfy, and looks good to the eye. The rubber is solid and protects areas like toes, and heel. This brand name is definitely up there with the best. I think it's a no.1 brand, but i'm partial :)

Great for keeping feet dry and dog walking.
I’m comparing these to a pair of MOAB’s I had from a couple of years ago and I have to say that these Columbia’s are excellent in comparison. The fit is considerably bigger than the Merrell’s. I’m a uk size ten and with Merrell, I have to order a full size bigger in order for them to fit. Columbia seem to be true to size for me.The grip of these Columbia’s is far better on just about every type of surface. I use them for dog walking and so far, they have been excellent. The waterproofing appears to work well and so far (a few weeks in) they have not let a single drop of water through. This includes walking through extended areas of wet grass and muddy farm fields. These are a practical, lightweight walking shoe which deliver on their promise of being waterproof. They are comfortable to walk in and for me, I do at least 5 miles a day in them with no discomfort at all. For the price, you can’t wrong and in my humble opinion, a far better walking shoe than anything else I’ve tried recently, including the more expensive Merrell’s. Arguably these are not the most attractive looking from a style point of view but, walking the dog is not a fashion parade.

The best shoes I have ever had!
I ordered these online frrom Amazon and it is now four months that I am wearing them. They are extremely comfortable and are now quite worn but not yet excessively. To quantify this, I should describe the conditions that they undergo every day. I walk very fast for just over 1.5 hours every day with these shoes. They are therefore subjected to quite tough usage, particularly given that I walk in all weathersand all kinds of terrains (fields / road / gravel / etc.) as well. By way of comparison, the last pair of shoes I had before these, lasted for just over two weeks, under the same conditions. The pair before that was even worse in that it lasted just over one week before falling apart entirely. If you walk quite intensely and fast, I believe these are some of the best shoes you can get and they are very reasonably priced as well. I found the shape of the sole to be ideal for the walking I do and I also found the material extremely durable. As a testament to just how highly I think of these shoes. I was going to order another pair. Unfortunately, they have been discontinued. I still stuck with the same brand, which appears to be fantastic and suits every single one of my needs. I shall review those as well in the not too distant future.Edit: Well the shoes have now been worn completely. They lasted over five months which, by my calculations, means over 1000 miles of intense walking. I believe this is pretty good going for a pair of shoes!

Outstanding pair of footwear.
These are so comfy, a perfect fit. The colour goes with most of what i wear them with. They are very well built, i dont see them having a problem with thus northern scottish westher. The soles are very non slip.

Good for the price but let's in water
Not a bad fit from the box. The sole gas great grip on most surfaces and i cannot complain. The upper is a patchwork of leather and the sticking has held up well after 12 months use (approx 300 miles). Unfortunately they leak like a sieve. They were fine on the usual wet gravel trails around here and i set them aside for summer as they are too hot. I used them twice in August after geavy rain. They immediately let in badly around the tongue area while in wet grass. I repeated a, week later with gaiters, same result. The padded tongue saturated and fills the shoe with water, even when a small area is exposed. That aside they're fine but dont expect dry feet. Apparently the outdry range is more waterproof...hmmmm
