The first one I ordered was too small, I started return ordered larger from a different vendor same price. The next one that came was inferior to Pawaboo yet had same stars. I am now ordering the medium from Pawaboo for my 6 lb dog. Straps are wide and thick very comfortable The back and base is thicker and feels sturdy. All in all the better brand and that includes the packaging and presentation. Other brand came rolled up on a ball. I can’t even put it back in the thing plastic as it literally fell apart. I am having to put it in something else.

The media could not be loaded.  I originally had another one of these from the same company for my other dog, but I needed a second one, they are both very different but extremely well-made and very durable material. My dog is 15 pounds she is a little chunky and the medium fit her perfectly. You can wear it on the front or on the back. The straps are adjustable. I highly recommend this doggie backpack. The patterns are adorable as well.Both of my dogs absolutely love getting into these backpacks, it is very comforting for them maybe because they are held up and their butt is cradled. They are always seem so relaxed and don’t fuss. I actually use this for my multi poo who has extreme Anxiety During thunderstorms. I walk around the house with her in it and she is completely calm. It is the only thing that works for her.

The short version: this is cute, sizing is accurate, & it is a handy way to carry a patient pup, but has room for small improvements (collar clip, more strap padding, horizontal strap).With 4 dogs, it's no surprise that we've got a variety of pet carriers and accessories. One of our Alaskan Klee Kai is absolutely *obsessed* with bags. It is the weirdest thing! Even reusable grocery bags have to be taken out of her reach or she'll spend all day digging pointlessly in her beloved bag. We have a great doggy tote that works really well for outings where I don't really need both hands free, but there are times & places that I want to bring my pup while being free to use my hands when a leash isn't an option. That is why we purchased this pup pack. Thankfully, it registers as "bag" enough to her that she's happy to hop inside!I picked this one in particular because of its cute design as well as its carrying capacity. Thankfully, this is as advertised on both counts. The marbled colour is unique & adorable. As for sizing, I followed the chart carefully and selected a "large" for my dogs, two of whom are small Alaskan Klee Kai (~12 lbs, one who is denser and the other longer) & another who is a 10 lb papillon (pictured). This has a certain amount of adjustability that makes it work for all 3. Even as small as they are, their weight does bear down on your shoulders, so I am glad the straps are crossable as it adds extra security (though I wish they were more padded). Without that I would worry about the straps slipping off my shoulders. However, even so, I wish this had an adjustable horizontal strap on the front side to help adjust this to my more narrow shoulders, so keep that in mind if you are a narrower person. The fabric was breathable enough that neither of us overheated when worn even in summer.The leg and tail holes were perfectly positioned for my dogs, and it is sturdy enough and padded enough to support them from the bottom without cutting into their legs. Best of all, my pups are content to be lugged around in this carrier. My papillon (pictured) is the most reluctant but also the best behaved, so he has to be strapped in the least often, but it's good to know it can work for him in a pinch. My Klee Kai are too rambunctious to sit next to me without being contained, however they are calm enough to hang out happily in their pup pack. I would feel even more secure if this had a clip for their collars but as long as you wear this facing forward you don't have to worry much about your pet slipping out.All in all, this works well for my dogs. It has already facilitated a few visits to pet-friendly stores, allowing me to manage two pups on my own and still have my hands free to shop! I would recommend this to pet owners whose small pups are at least manageable if not calm in public.

Full disclosure: I didn't buy this to actually take my dog anywhere. I wanted something to secure my 20lb min pin / pug mix to me so I could clip her nails, and for this purpose the carrier works great. It's comfortable enough for her, easy enough to use, and securely holds her to the front of me so I can clip her nails. However, if I was planning to use the carrier to actually carry her around, I'm not sure this would be my first choice. The biggest change I would make is to have a strap that connects at the back to secure the shoulder straps together. Unless you are broad shouldered, this pack feels like it will slip forward off my shoulders. Since I sit to clip nails, it's not an issue. And if you have a very light-weight dog, it might not be an issue.

It’s very cute but I have a long cat and it really didn’t work with having to put her back legs into leg holes. Too bad it isn’t more like a diaper to get in them more easily. It is also wider which is better for dogs. Make sure you measure your pet’s back and order the size that matches the back length, not weight. Size up. They are kind of small. I do wish it would work for me because I like it.

Very easy to put your dog into. My little guy is 6 lbs. Use this for errands when he has to go with me. Size small is not too big and he has some room to grow. Great Product! If he continues to like it will get a bigger one as needed! ENJOY!😊

It works fine. I was able to adjust the straps to fit me. But when I put Millie in it...she hated it. And honestly, she LOOKED awkward in it. That is nothing bad to say about the backpack - it is cute, and it did its job. It's Millie. She's a bit spoiled. And I just wish I knew how she got that way. Oh, well - she's a wonderful little pup (albeit a bit spoiled).

The papoose is well-made however work needs to be done on its design for very small petite dogs. The holes for the legs are way too wide for my Toy Poodle puppy and the body is way too wide. They would fit a human baby better! Therefore, puppy is not truly secure in this device. I have tested this papoose three times when i do my daily mile walk. At first, puppy is fine but eventually she squirms to get out because she gets way too hot. The fabric is lined with a plastic coating that does not breathe. We live in SW Florida where it is hot anyway. Dogs sweat through their mouths but my Poodle's body is hot and sweaty by the time I take her out!

We got a small for our 9lbs dog who have long torso. It works well, just that she bends her torso a bit because not enough room. Needs a few try to get her to sit comfortably.This materials isn't hard enough, it's pretty flexible, so if the pet is heady, it might be hard to hold them in place.It felt very secure when the stripe is wear in the X shape.
