This trackpad fixed an age old problem of stiff clicking on my 2009 laptop. I decided to try this when the original trackpad stuck solid rather than throw the machine away. It has given me a few more years life to this ancient but workable laptop. Easy install with a few small tools and a youtube instructional video.

I'm not sure what to say about this. My keypad broke on my laptop. I bought this and installed it and now my keypad works fine. Installation required some special tools which you can get from any computer screwdriver set. Go on youtube or ifixit to get the instructions on how to do it. I think it took 15 minutes or so. One thing I will say, and this has nothing to do with the keypad, is that there's a screw that controls the keypad button. If the screw is too loose or too tight, then the keypad button won't work. Part of the reason I replaced the keypad was the button wasn't working. But if I knew all I had to do was adjust that screw, then I could have done it and maybe not have purchased this, or at least bought myself some time. However, the product itself works very well and I have no complaints. Glad I did it.

I got this to replace my cracked track pad on my mid 2010 MacBook Pro 13", the track pad cracked when the original battery became swollen. I ordered this product along with the new battery which came with the special tiny Phillips head screw drivers. The track pad itself did not come with tools. The installation went well, the screws that hold the track pad are extremely tiny and it took some concentration, and it is necessary to remove the battery. The track pad itself works well, looks just like the one from Apple and was very affordable.

Worked well Initially. Stopped functioning in 4 months. Totally doesn’t work now. A little frustrated tbhUpdate:It started working again a few days later. Was very odd. It’s now stopped clicking totally I can still move the cursor around...I’m not even sure what to do now.

It is not as good as the original trackpad. It is not as accurate as the original. The cursor sometimes has a mind of its own. I use my MacBook Pro at home so it is good enough.

Made correctly which is saying a lot these days. Be gentle installing The pad, be careful not to bend it in anyway. The patient lining up the tiny screws that attach the plate to your computer and don't over tighten. after you remove the old one, be sure to carefully clean out any grit or grime.Bottom line: five stars

I had to replace the trackpad on my macbook pro due to a drop of water getting on the original one. I replaced it with this part while watching a youtube video to be sure to do it correctly. It works GREAT! Just like new! I have been using it with the replacement for a couple months now, and there have been no problems. I highly recommend.

My trackpad was failing as my macbook pro was getting older. The arrow was all over the place and I tried resetting the SMC and PRAM but still no luck. I replaced just about everything else already so I figured it was the trackpad and decided to purchase this one. Super easy install and everything lined up perfect. So far the trackpad works and looks just like OEM.

Bought this to change my trackpad on my MacBook Pro 13inch mid-2012, as the mouse keep jumping all over the place from time to time preventing me to do anything. Looked for video on YouTube on how to do this and Installation was not easy due to my big fingers and the tiny screw but I eventually succeeded.
