These arrived today on time. 19 full dishes undamaged. One broken top. Although i am pleased with this deal and the dishes appear as good quality, i fell they should be packaged and buffered better

I've bought several sets of these as my needs have grown, and on the whole I am satisfied. Handled carefully, they seem to have no trouble with being sterilized many times, and are easy enough to observe through the lid, for borosilicate.That said, the glass is quite thin, and they are very fragile, even for petris. I've dropped one just an inch or two onto the bottom of a plastic tub and cracked it. If you don't pack them into a snug container in the autoclave they can bump into each other and crack. I haven't lost any to thermal stress at least.

I was a little worried about recieving these in broken condition after reading the reviews, but I ordered them anyways. They came quickly and all are intact. They feel high quality, just what I need for my gourmet mushroom cultivation.

Of the 20 petri dishes, only 13 complete dishes were not broken. 7 of the tops and 2 of the bottoms were shattered. This was due to the very poor factory packaging. The tops are wrapped in very thin paper, the bottoms not at all. The dishes are then just stacked together in two rows in a very thin cardboard box.BTW, the box was wrapped in bubble wrap and the Amazon box and the box showed no external signs of damage, so shipping abuse was not likely the cause of the breakage.Value for money is good if you receive all 20 of them in good condition, but as it stands I had to dock a few stars.

Purchased twice. Good value, packaged well enough to prevent breakage. Shipped quickly. Durable and reusable.
