WEIDER Pro 5500 Home System Multi Gym

I installed this self-assembly kit in my garage on gym mats 1200mm x 2400mm. The weight tower moved around a litle during use, so I braced it by attaching it to the wall behind with metal ties and brackets. It is now rock solid and performs very well. The assembly is not simple, and care needs to be taken. It took me 16 hours in total. The range of exercises that can be performed with this system is comprehensive, and a very useful wall chart is provided (28 exercises) to enable you to do them correctly. I am very satisfied with my purchase. A supplier's performance can be best judged when something goes wrong. My kit was supplied with a distorted Chest Press Arm. The Seller (PureFitness) and the Importer (Icon) acted impeccably as soon as I informed them of the problem. A replacement part was despatched free of charge almost immediately and without question. Excellent service.

This is a quality product at an affordable price and deserves a 5 star rating. I bought this for my Husband's birthday as he wanted a product that offered a few more exercise options and heavy weights, He already has weights and a bench so this is a good extra bit of equipment. Please don't be put of by this next bit..... it takes a lot of patience and time in the assembly and at some points two sets of hands were needed. anyway its all up and running now and he is very pleased.

I bought this multi gym off amazon a month or so ago and it has been great. It was delivered in about a week and a half which was very good considering the size of the package! I assembled it completely on my own over two nights and it took me about six hours in total. With two people im sure it would be a lot quicker. The instructions are very good, but i would definately advise to take your time over assembly as i made a few mistakes where i used the wrong part e.t.c and it probably cost me an hour overall. The gyms functionality is very good. Nice and sturdy, and provides a good resistance. I prefer free-weights, but this is extremly good to have at home when i miss a workout or don't live near to a gym. The ajustable pec deck allows you to train the whole chest, however it is quite hard to vary the incline or decline of the press without moving yourself. It comes with a whole list of excercises, and i have made up a few of my own, there is definately tonnes you can do with this machine. The only thing it slightly lacks, is a shoulder press mechanism. It is quite hard to train shoulders if you are tall (over 6 foot) as doing a lateral raise with the cable by the leg extension means you must bend your knees considerably in order to get a full movement, so i mainly use dumbells still for shoulders, and do a bit on the machine. However, for back, chest, legs, arms, bum,abs, everything else it can work, and to a high level of resistancy. I'm sure all these machines have a few minor setbacks, but overall thisd is a very worthwhile buy. A looked around a lot before i bought this and i think i got a very good deal off amazon.Combining this machine with a few dumbells, press ups, sit ups e.t.c you can really train well, and to a very high standard, i have already noticed differences.

Bought this gym about 3 weeks ago, I gave it 5 stars for it's versatility, there are alot of exercises you can do on it (28!) so it's easy to vary your work out and not get bored, also you can use each part without the bother of undoing and relinking steel cable, which I had to keep doing on my old gym.The gym looks good and feels well built, it's comfy to use to, with soft seats and padding.The only downside is the time it took to put together, 2 of us working on it for 2hrs a night after work it took about 6 days to complete, some of the diagrams aren't very clear so some time was wasted taking apart bits we had built because we had used the wrong part.But apart from that I strongly recommend the product!.

As expected and works well. Instructions a little hit and miss. Excellent seller service.

This a superb piece of kit that has all the family now using it to some degree or other - now struggle to get time on it myself! I looked around at many types but found this one the best value for the range, size and weight stack.It covers all the major muscle groups - although you get a standard bar I have also bought a few accessories (like a rope and extra carabinas) to make life easier/more efficient.I found the build simple enough - if you follow the instructions in the order subscribed, although the diagrams need a rework as I had to read and check and re-read to make sure at times. It took me about 7 hours to make with limited help.
