Works as they should
I put them on my boat trailer to strap down the back of it and so far they work great. I haven't had any problem with them yet. There a great help when you are in a line up of boat's trying to get in the water to have them retract by themselves.

These are a must!
These ratchet straps are a must for anyone that loads and unloads their equipment multiple times a day.

Disappointing
Had these on the trailer for about a month. One of them is no longer retracting and the other is retracting but not all the way. I only launch in fresh water and wash the boat and trailer after every launch. I even spray lubricant in the workings of the straps after washing. Very disappointed.

heavy duty
they are overkill for any boat under 1ton thats my opinion and im old and have gone through several straps in my life

Buyer Beware
I've had these about 9 months after 4 months one of them stopped auto retracting all together and the other is very weak. As far as holding power they seem to be okay. The auto retract feature was the biggest selling point that got me to purchase them and without that they are basically just an expensive ratchet strap.

Great replacements for my trailer straps
I have a larger pontoon, and the front straps on the trailer were starting to look a bit frayed, so I replaced them with these. I bolted the ratchets to the trailer, and they've worked perfectly keeping the boat secured. They operate pretty smoothly, and having them attached directly to the trailer has been great, as the straps don't get misplaced. It's also nice to not have to wrestle with the open end of a strap, as well - everything is self-contained.

Brand new and already starting to not retract.
Could be longer. Already not retracting.
