Great looking and they grind well
Using the salt grinder for Utah mineral sea salt, medium grains (also purchased at Amazon). Works great! So does the pepper grinder. Fast shipping and we're happy. Would make a nice gift.

Perfect size.
I got the tall ones before then decided I prefer these short ones for my kitchen since I don't use every day. Sturdy, beautiful set.

Not as good as I'd hoped...
Let's start with my major complaints.#1 - Does not put out enough volume with each "crank". For example: when I am making Caesar Salad I have to use ***more than 100 cranks*** to get enough pepper out. This is time-consuming and even wearying. When preparing more typical dishes that require pepper, I typically use 30-60 cranks to get enough pepper out.#2 - I can only get about two and a half fingers (width) on the metal head (where you hold the grinder while turning the glass part to grind), and so my grip on the metal head is NOT comfortable. The control of pepper grind size is sort of vague but it DOES have a wide range and so DOES produce nice (fine) table-size and nice (course) larger-size grind when set correctly.Pros:- looks nice on the table- fairly easy to clean- very easy to fill with peppercorns- wide range of grind sizesI find it most useful at the table, where (usually) only a small amount of medium-to-fine grind pepper is desired, and the grind size normally does not need to be altered.So:- this is NOT for a person who has poor grip- this is NOT for a person who, on occasion, wants a large amount of freshly-ground pepper- this is QUITE practical and decorative for typical table use

Perfect grind
It's easy to get the perfect grind with the size of the grind that you Wish to have. The grinding mechanism is simple yet advance. I grind both salt and pepper and they both are superb. I saw these in a restaurant and after using them had to buy some for my home.

Grind without mess
This little pepper grinder is quite functional. First of course is that it grinds just right size from peppercorns. Second it’s easy to twist and has a simple lid/top to keep elements out by grinding part. Third, and why I bought it, it opens to the top, rather than bottom like other grinders I have had. This means no more pieces of pepper on the table, counter or serving trays. Also this is not large and bulky. Doesn’t take up space on table or shelf. It’s made of glass so you can easily see how much is left. I’m happy that I finally found a grinder that meets my needs.

These are not plastic free as advertised
Given the research data released this past month about micro-plastics causing plaque to build in human bodies, particularly in blood vessels and the heart, I am in the process of switching out all of my kitchen tools to non-plastic.Researchers note that these microscopic plastic shards lead to strokes and heart attacks. They also invade your cells and inhibit them from preforming correctly, particularly concerning are the negative effects on your endocrine system. In addition, there is evidence that they are a contributing factor for the concerning worldwide increase in sterility in men.Changing diet and exercise programs cannot reverse the damage done to your body by these plastics. Apparently, they do not exit the body on their own and are not removable by any process.I have been using my Oxo salt and pepper grinders that I have dearly loved, but the grinders are plastic, which I now know are an issue. So I searched the Amazon website asking specifically for plastic free grinders. This product promised that, but failed to live up to the description. The KitchenBliss grinders are listed as metal and glass with ceramic grinders. The exterior body of the grinders are indeed metal and glass, but at least one component of the grinders is plastic (see photo). As is the rim around both the top of the grinder and the rim around its lid (see photo). Which means every time you push the lid down onto the grinder after using it, microplastics are created and fall into the top, thus being released into your food along with the ground salt and/or pepper next time you use it. Adding even more microplastics to the cells and vessels in your body.Thankfully, Amazon does carry many products for your kitchen that are plastic free. For instance, I just purchased some (pricy but safe) silicone snack bags from Stasher. I also purchased two different brands (Luvcosy and Sophico) of replacement lids for the glass pyrex food storage dishes I use for storing leftovers, etc.I have also ordered residentially compostable bags that I use when purchasing non pre-packaged produce. I have also purchased eco friendly detergent sheets that arrive in a cardboard box.All from Amazon.I am replacing my plastic kitchen storage dishes and plastic kitchen tools as I can afford to, a bit at a time. They are no longer in use and have not been sent to a charity donation center. They have gone into the trash. Unfortunately that means eventually into the ecosystem to join all the other plastic out there, but I know of no other option.

A little awkward to use, plus the "bonus bamboo spoon" is a joke.
Hello, I have only had these for a day so far, so maybe I just need to get used to them. I find they are a bit too big for me and somewhat awkward to use. The covers fit snuggly and are a touch difficult to take off. I did not enjoy using them and found myself reaching for my old shakers. They are attractive to look at and hold much spice, and they won't have to be filled as often due to their size. The grinders work nicely so far. Included is a decent size brush to aid in cleaning. Also included is a "bonus bamboo spoon," which is ridiculous for them even to mention. It is not the same one shown in the advertisement. See the attached photo of the spoon that was included with these grinders. That is a dime next to it, folks! I marked them down due to their misleading advertisement. Thank you for reading. I hope you have a wonderful day!
