Q: Is it better to store it inflated or deflated?

We keep ours inflated. But I guess it would be your preference.

Q: Is there a noticeable gap if I connect two 10 feet mats? Or is it better to get one longer mat?

The best option is to purchase a longer mat, however, if your purchase 2 ten foot mats, you can connect them using a velcro strip and there will be very little gaps.

Q: This is extremely difficult to pump up! more air escapes than stays in as the pump doesn’t come close to fitting snug. am i missing something?
