works like a dream
I recently moved and have sensors all over the rooms. I never had issues with humidity before, at least not knowingly and definitely not in my last place which was just 10 min car drive away. When I noticed humidity levels rising to 60% and above, I got concerned and looked into buying a dehumidifier. I had bought a 600 sqft dehumidifier first but was not satisfied with the results. Granted my place is larger but I would have expected that it should work in a closed bedroom at least. I was not happy with the results and decided I needed a larger instrument. I decided for this 30 pint version. I just plugged it in and hit the power button, it's very straight forward to use. I was amazed about the results, With every hour I could see the results. After a couple of hours running time, I found 1-1.5L water in the tank. The smaller dehumidifier never had more than 1 inch water in the tank when running the same amount of time. The efficiency of this Britsou dehumidifer is amazing in comparison. I probably could get by with a single instrument and move it around my place as needed for every few hours. It's very portable, not too heavy and I like the rollers. What is not so great is the water tank. It's U shaped and difficult to handle, it already had slipped out of my hand slightly and water spilled on the floor. You'd definitely want to avoid that. But everything else is top notch. I like the humidity level indicator on the instrument and it seems easy to operate. I just ordered a second one.

Reliable, efficient, easy to set up
This machine seems to be a workhorse. We've been running it since late October, and our very large basement (1500 sq feet) is dry and pleasant. We set it, at first, on a preset humidity level and then switched to a variable, where the dehumidifier can go on and off to keep the humidity constant as needed. We use the drain hose to discard the water and that works perfectly as well. It's very quiet; we have to go in the basement and right up to it before we hear it running. We don't need a nice looking unit, but this one is nice looking. All things considered, this is an excellent dehumidifier.

Works well!
We ordered this dehumidifier because our older one broke. We were looking for something that could handle the moisture of a finished basement, yet wouldn't be obnoxiously loud like our previous one. So far, this has far exceeded expectations. The volume level is extremely quiet, and it seems to be keeping up with the moisture of a very hot and humid summer in Pennsylvania. It does have a small tank, as others have mentioned, but we use the drain hose which works really well. We also have a small child that likes to hit buttons and thankfully this dehumidifier comes with a child lock system by simply holding the lock button for 5 seconds. Brilliant! Great buy. Would highly recommend. Easy 5 stars.

Motor runs but doesn't dehumidify after 18 months..
Worked fine for 1 summer. 2nd year it runs but doesn't dehumidify at all. No moisture coming out of hose, 1st year the hose had constant moisture dripping into floor drain, now nothing.. Yes hose is clear also. I emailed Britsou and they replied the same day and said the 2 year warranty would apply (stopped working after 18 months). I am impressed with their customers service so far. We'll see if they replace under warranty or not. They said the website to file a claim online was down but that I would be covered when I bought it??

I would have given it 5 stars
This dehumidifier works great. It is a little bit noisy when you first start it, but once it warms up, you don't hear it. I live in an rv, so humidity is an issue, and this dehumidifier removes the condensation on the windows quickly. This makes me happy. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because they skimped on the length of the cord. Another 2ft and it would be perfect. I do not use extension cords except for one surge protector for my computer.Celia J. Ross

Works really well!!
I never write reviews until I've used it for awhile. Well it got a really good workout these past 3 weeks. We were in the devastating flood that hit parts of Vermont. After 16" of water in our stone basement, this dehumidifier dried things out beautifully! It is so quiet and energy efficient I was amazed. After having a different brand that ran constantly and really raised my electric bill, I was so glad this really did the trick. Thank you

This machine is amazing.
I purchased for a downstairs rental that is having issues with excessive moister issues with all the rain we are currently having. I tried it out in my home first before placing it in the unit, and within 4 hrs of running it collected over 3 cups of water.I like that is small, has a setting for desired humidity results. automatically shuts off when it reaches set humidity level. I will be buying another on for my home. Unit is very quiet.

A very capable small dehumidifier
Our downstairs bathroom doesn’t have a vent, and gets and stays damp after a shower. This little dehumidifier is well-made and quite effective at bringing the RH down from 80-90% to about 50% within an hour or so. It’s much more effective than the slightly cheaper solid-state unit I wasted money on before. I recommend this unit for a smaller application, like a bedroom or bathroom.

Good dehumidifier
Easy setup; works well…have one on continuous mode in the basement and one in the living room for occasional use…only in use for a few months but both seem to be doing the job…

Not Quiet
Some reviews mention that it's very quiet. This is not true. But it works very well removing that nasty humudity from the air. Easy to use. I'm using the hose so I don't need to empty it over and over. For the noise worriers, It's background, "white" noise - it's not going to harm you or your loved ones.

Cabin Crawl space, works great so far!
Using in the crawl space of our cabin, approx 1500 sf. Comes with a drain hose, which is great so you don’t need to get an additional hose. Super quiet, we don’t hear it at all (I forget we even have it). Lots of digital settings and adjustments. Has wheels for portability. Can also be reversed to be used as a humidifier if you wanted. We have the hose running into the sump pit, so never have to worry about emptying it. First started it up and measured the air at 75% (it’s rained almost daily for the past couple months, everything is moist), after a day it went down to 65%. It’s working on continuous mode now just to absorb as much moisture as possible. Would buy again and recommend! Great compact unit!

Works great so far / 3500 Sq. Ft 50 Pint BRITSOU
The smallest 50pt I've owned . Very quiet. I hear only the fan running when it needs to and a very slight compressor start up for few seconds but definitely quieter than many on the market. Simple to operate but read the manual first. Power button and front display continually flash when it reaches set humidity level which I found weird at first. I would have expected flashing when it was working to drop humidity. Its humidity sensor appears to be accurate comparing to my 3 hygrometers in the room. It's a guitar music room so proper humidity is crucial as is temperature. I just got it so how long it will last is unknown . Very fast at dropping humidity in a 10ft x 15ft room in my basement . Usually most sensors have to climatize to the area to become accurate but this has been accurate from the first time it ran. It might cover 3500 sq/ft but I have my doubts due to its size.It would depend on where the area is . Damp basements hmmm maybe. I can't fault it except the bucket is real small but I knew that before buying. If you don't have a floor drain probably could use the drain hose into a larger bucket or pail if looks aren't important. lol I might even buy another one after I've had this a few months or more to make sure its still 100% working as it did new. Another plus is it doesn't put out much heat in fact it hasn't changed my room temp is so little. Update had an issue with it reading humidity at 10% error and running overnight created an odor which I can't identify as to what it was. Contacted the seller to ask what might be wrong and they just refunded me and let me keep it. Weird because I said it works great except for those 2 concerns. If the odor continues I might have to stop using it so I'm hoping it a temporary new burn off in time smell. My review stands as far as the positive I've stated. I might have got one with a few issues
