Q: How do sensors attach to the tank ?

I purchased suction cups with clips that attached directly to the sensor body. The company provides pictures that show how to mount the sensors in a sump pump setup. The sensors come with wire ties for use in attaching sensors in sump pump setup.

Q: how to disable the alarm? It is annoying during night time.

If it's beeping theres an alarm!!! Assuming your sump pump is still running fine the alarm is most likely related to a high amp draw pushing the limits of the sump controller, or your having varying amp draws for the last few cycles meaning your pump motor is drawing more amps than the previous cycles. So your pump may be on the way out or maybe you should consider installing a 1/4 hp pump out smaller. The longer a pump runs on its cycle the better. They're is no reason any house should have anything larger than a 1/4 hp sump pump.

Q: Will this controller handle a 1 hp pump?

I do not for sure. The description states in 1 place for 1hp 16amps but in numerous other places it says <1hp 16amps.

Q: Will it work to remove flood water from the floor, so it would switch on at 1/2 inch of water and turn off when it's lower than 1/8 inch?

It all depends on where the probes are set when both are touching water it will come on when both are are not touching water it will shut back off
