Expensive, but worth every penny
Frankie is everything you are looking for in a weighted animal friend. My whole family absolutely adores him. I felt anxious to spend so much on a single stuffed animal, but now I’m tempted to save up and buy the other Hugimals too!Best features:1) He is washable. This was absolutely not negotiable for me. I knew that myself and my three kids would be all over this guy, and he’d be keeping us company through illness and tears and travel and daily outings and more. So the washability and durability of Frankie was a major selling point.2) Overall quality. Frankie’s weight is evenly distributed throughout his soft, well-made body. His stitching is strong, even, and tidy— no weird loose threads or uneven bits. He didn’t have any sort of strange odor or other undesirable surprises that can come with an online purchase. The tiny glass beads used to weight him are tightly packed and make only a gentle rustling sound when he’s picked up or moved, the Velcro opening on his side is well hidden and soft, not stiff or prickly at all. He is very sensory friendly.3) Adorableness. These cute companions were apparently designed to have more neutral expressions to promote non-judgment and acceptance of whatever you are feeling (which is very cool), but that doesn’t read as flat or vacant. Frankie’s features are charmingly soulful, and I often feel like he conveys feelings of patience and support when I catch a glimpse of him peering over one of my children’s shoulders as they carry him around in their arms.4) Emotional and functional support. My entire household is neurodivergent in various ways, and Frankie’s comforting weight and softness provides all sorts of benefits. My toddler is enchanted by Frankie’s face and will hold his head in her hands and kiss and “talk” to him, my second grader struggles with anxiety before school and loves to hold him on his tummy in the mornings. My oldest has ADHD, and having him in his lap as he works through his least favorite homework assignments is grounding and helps with his focus and emotional regulation. I have both anxiety and ADHD, and Frankie is a wonderful sleep aid— I much prefer him to a weighted blanket, which tended to make my body feel sore and stiff upon waking. He is also excellent emotional support during an anxiety attack, as he fully lives up to his name, providing the best “hug” I’ve ever gotten from a stuffed animal. My sons have already asked me for Sam the Sloth and Charlie the Puppy for Christmas— the real question is if I will be able to wait that long to order them!I know this probably sounds like a paid review but it’s not, haha. I almost never leave reviews, I just love this little guy and cannot recommend him enough! I hope that if sharing our experience helps anyone decide to purchase a Hugimal that they find them as helpful and cheerful an addition as we have.

Cte and Loveable
At roughly the mass of a newborn infant, Emory is comforting to cuddle and fall asleep with. All his limbs (legs, belly, arms and head) are weighted proportionally to allow Emory to sit or lie down yet still be somewhat posable. This elephant is so great. Emory's soothing blue yet velvety-soft fur and embroidered face details are spot on. He's The perfect weight and size for cuddling at 4.5 lbs. It really does give the same pressure of a hug! The construction is solid and durable. He's very well made, high quality, and the weight makes him feel akin to a newborn lying on your chest! He's extremely huggable and irresistible to look at because of his kind, non-judgmental eyes that make you want to hug him even more. Perfect for just about anyone or even a pet who needs a bed buddy. You get the benefits of a weighted blanket without the restriction of being confined under a weighted blanket. It’s been such a great help with my anxiety, sleep, and concentration. Due to the weight, I don't recommend this for anyone under 2-years of age.

Cuddly!
Like a weighted blanket, this little bear gives me some solace when I need it, from its hugs, to almost being realistically weight worthy as a real koala would be. My husband died 9 months ago, and this provides a bit of cuteness, hug ability, and kind of real weight like. I like bears, always have, so I like Mr. Koala!

Everyone in my home wants one!
I bought Quinn for myself. I love her! She gives excellent hugs and is the perfect size. When she arrived in the mail, she was bigger than I expected which was a plus. My three kids each ask to hold her at different times through the day and hugging her always brings a smile to their faces. We are a neurodivergent family. My oldest daughter is almost 7 and she is working hard doing extra chores to save money so she can get Sam the Sloth for herself. My overall point, these Hugimals are worth it! They’re cute, cuddly, and calming! Kinda pricey but worth the cost if you’re able to save up for it.Picture: I woke up this morning and found my husband snuggling Quinn himself. See? everyone loves these!

We have all the Hugimal critters
My daughter, has autism and fas, sleeps with Frankie every night and has Sammy, the Sloth, near her during the day. If she didn't have Frankie (cat) she would carry Sammy around and sleep with it too. Very soft, great quality and well made, the weight is very soothing and calms my daughter just by holding her close and hugging. I love all the Hugimals. We own many and our Behavioral business has many too. Clients love them.

Quality product
Pros: super soft fur and well distributed weight! It wasnt deformed or have ripped stitches. The velcro doesn't snag on anything because it's well concealed.Cons: shipped in a open clear plastic bag, hanging half way out.

For My Children (Christmas) ❤️
This weighted plush is absolutely adorable, and perfectly weighted. I ordered myself the elephant, to help me sleep and relax easier. My child kept wanting to hold it, and asked if they could have one. I told them, they could write it on their Christmas list. I ordered a 3rd as well for my other child, who I asked to try holding my elephant.. When they did, their face lit up, and they asked if it was theirs. They both proceeded to take turns walking around with the elephant, so I ordered them each one (the puppy and cat.) They arrived very quickly, and look just like they are pictured. I took each out of the box, and the plastic bags to look them over, and feel them to make sure the quality was good. I didn’t snap a picture of them, before placing them with the other gifts, needing to be wrapped. I am so pleased with this brand so far, and am hoping they will be useful relaxation tools for my children, for many years! The price is a little much for a plush for most people, if you understand that weighted plush serve a purpose, and when it is a very good quality product, compared to similar products, even the CAD price is fair. I think these are amazing Christmas gifts for everybody ❤️

I Love It, I Am Getting One For My Kids For Christmas! 💙
When I am alone so often, I tend to dwell into the sad thoughts of the past.. This little guy seems to actually help in some way with my depression.. His weight seems to slightly help with feeling “present,” instead of drifting off into my own head every spare minute I get. He is also super soft and absolutely adorable!. Would love to see a slightly bigger/heavier version of him made, and would love a cow Hugimal but he is the best thing I have found for myself yet!.. Even looking at him while I accomplish things around the house, seems to help. I’m getting my kiddos one for Christmas! 💙

Amazing for adult with autism
I am a 22 year old with autism. I find the weight really soothing without feeling suffocating the way weighted blankets can sometimes.Helps provide grounding when placed on your lap (I can put my laptop + board on top, or you can use it accros your chest when sleeping or laying down. Would highly recommend.Even my neurotypical friends love this thing! I’ve purchased one for my elderly grandmother as well who is thrilled, she says it reminds her of holding a baby.Would recommend to anyone of any age who would benefit from a weighted lap or chest pad. Very helpful with soothing anxiety.

Amazing quality, but overstuffed?
This plush is very high quality. The stitches are strong, the fur is lush and soft, and the colours are beautiful and calming. However, I found it to be way too overstuffed. It is probably just my personal preference, but the head in particular seemed way too big and round, it just looked weird and disproportionate compared to the rest of the body. I have basic sewing skills, so I solved the problem by opening the internal pocket that contains the filling, removed some of it, and sewed it back. Now the plush is slightly more floppy and the head doesn't look gigantic - I like it much more this way!I wonder if all that stuffing was put there specifically to keep the weighted insert "in place"? The structure of the plush seems intact despite the modifications, but still, I would love to know. The company seems lovely by the way, so I am happy to support them!
