Tested this with a MACL-153M-WH and a strip of LED lights. The driver was mostly quiet, other then some very minor buzzing at the very low dimming level when I turned the LEDs on with the MACL-153M-WH.The dimming up and down was mostly good, but there was a fatal flaw: it seemed to flash once on the way up and down when turning on and off (the MACL-153M-WH has a fade on and off function). When the dimmer reached the constant level, there was not problem with the LED driver.If you have a dimmer that doesn't fade up and down, this driver would be fine. but if you want that smooth fade dimming with the MACL-153M-WH, you should find another driver.I would not use this outside in the rain. The covers do protect the wires ok, but there's no rubber gasket that would prevent water ingress.

The media could not be loaded.  I feel bad about this review. I have every reason to believe this is a fine product. It's well-built, well-packaged and overall I'm sure a good dimmable controller.But I was looking to convert my GU7 halogen lights installed and powered by a halogen transformer power supply to LED GU7 bulbs which require an LED driver. My halogen power supply is located in a standard size electrical outlet junction box next to the series of bulbs. This LED driver will never fit that box. It's far bigger than I anticipated. I didn't read carefully and thought the size description of 12 inches to be the box rather than just the power supply.This is a big driver. Almost in the same size range as the ballasts I recently removed from an overhead flourescent fixture when converting it to halogen bulbs earlier this year. Just beware of the size of the driver. It it will fit your space, I'm sure it will serve you well.
