Purchased this carb to replace 1999 VT600CD Honda Shadow unit that was, IMO, unrepairable. It basically fit about perfectly. Some hose fittings are in different places, but it works out OK. Without any adjustment, just hooking up the gas line and vacuum line, then cutting off the throttle position indicator cable, it performed just fine. Today I was able to fill the gas tank for the first time with 2.5 gals of fuel and when the bike is not running, parked on side stand, gas leaks from the bowl overflowing because the needle valve won't stop gas from coming in. I checked the needle valve, seat, & float assembly and all appears well. This float system cannot be adjusted for a different level. I'm going to reinstall the automatic petcock that uses engine vacuum to start/stop fuel from tank to carb. Otherwise, the carb works great.

Perfect fit..
Arrived earlier than expected. Came with extra jets. It was as advertised, a good fit. Idled it up a bit, runs good. I will buy one again.

Works great -- but check the Main Jet.
Would like that to be 4-1/2 Stars. :)Always check the jets with any new carburetor **before** bolting it on. Mine came with a 106-Main Jet but the Honda Manual showed it should be 125. The Slow-jet was correct.With the 106-Main it would almost certainly have run **very** lean **and** hot. I just swapped out the 125-Main from the old carburetor and it is working just great.Other than that, it is a perfect drop in replacement. Very happy with it. So far no problems with the Float valve another reviewer mentioned, but will check on it regularly.

Bike runs great
Works well…better than i. Was expecting. Bike has not run this good for a long time. The filter is the wrong size for the hose size on the carb and the Honda stock hose line (it is too small, worthless) so had to go to hardware store and got a marine filter that was the right size. I just hope it will last a few years…. As an infrequent rider i need to remember to always shut off fuel a couple miles before i get home… and i always use nonethanol (marine fuel) that last longer.

Nice replacement carb
Fit fine. It came with a different coupler to the engine so had to cann some parts from what I had currently on the motorcycle. Also came with a bigger jet than what was stock which was not a problem since I was moving up jets anyway. Started right up.

Easy swap for a brand new carb. I would recommend (2007 honda shadow vt600cd)
