so long as you DO NOT TURN IT ON until after it is sitting in the normal upright position for 24 hours (the manual says much less but I always wait a day) it doesn't matter

Q: Is there an easy way to attach to the gravity drain hose outlet through the tiny side door which I can't get my fingers into ?

I use the pump and hose setup. However, it sounds like you answered your own question. Good luck.

Q: Would the Smart Dry one stop the fans once it reaches the desired humidity level and resume work once it raises? Or does it only slows the fan speeds?
