Heirloom Premium Cotton Batting/Wadding 120 x 120 King Size

The only batting I use now. I started out quilting with the heirloom poly cotton and found it puffy and difficult to manage, then I came across this and it’s made both my life easier and my quilts looking and behaving better. The quilts acts like a blanket and drapes and folds like it should, with the poly batting it stick up at old angles and when folded took up a lot of room. If you want a warm quilt then double up on the layers and it will still behave right, if you just want a throw the use one layer. I already buy the king size and cut it down for smaller quilts, that way I get a few quilts or projects out of one roll. There are instructions on the bag on how to treat the batting to avoid shrinkage when washing the finished quilt but I’ve never done it and they’ve always turned out fine after a wash.

This Hobbs batting has a lovely feel and loft. Just the right thickness for quilting. Remember to unpack it and leave out unfolded overnight to get it to relax before use.

This is the best batting I have used for my quilting. It is light, flexible & allows the quilter an option to turn projects into a ''vintage''style. Full instructions to do this are on the packaging. I was initially suspicious that such a relatively small package could contain a king size piece of batting, however it met all my expectations. I will certainly buy this make of batting again. It enabled me to produce a lightweight, king size bed throw. The quilting part of the project was achieved painlessly on my small domestic sewing machine.Recommended.

This is a very versatile batting and I use it for all my quilts, its very easy to use. If you want a thicker quilt then just double it up. It washes well too.
