Worked... so there's that!
I was a little skeptical about purchasing since there were other reviews about not enough power getting to their dash cams, but I went for it. For reference, I have a Roav Pro C dash cam and a 2016 Ram Crew Cab. The wire was not long enough to reach the battery, but I was able to find a power source under the console and hook directly into it that way. I was still able to run the cord up and around so that all wires were hidden. This also allowed me to make sure that it was only on when the ignition was on as well.I have had it hooked up this way for about 3 months now and have not had any issues.

Works great, when it works
First, the cable appears to be well built, good length and is pre-stripped to be installed to the fuse tap that is included (ships with the longer ATM style, I had to go buy an ATM-LP for my car). Wiring it up and snaking the usb cable was pretty painless and everything seemed to work fine when I connected it to a 10a fuse that is powered under the accessory power for the car. Turning on the accessory power to my car gave my USB dash camera a perfect 5v every time, without any issues. The problem occurs when I actually start the car, something is failing inside of the cable and it only provides the 5v to the cable about 40% of the time, the rest of the time it provides insufficient (or none) voltage to power the dash camera....I suspect the power fluctuations during the start process is triggering the battery drain protection. Regardless, the cable is basically useless because of this.

The cord was about the perfect length to reach the fuse box in our 2015 ...
This is exactly what you need if you want to install theĀ Roav by Anker Dash Cam C1 Pro, 2K Resolution 2560X1440, Built-In GPS/WiFi, 2.4" LCD, 4-Lane Wide-Angle View Lens, G-Sensor, WDR, Loop Recording, 2-Port Charger, 32G microSD Card, Easy Sharing . The cord was about the perfect length to reach the fuse box in our 2015 Forester. Read carefully as it includes a mini-blade fuse tap. It's fairly common in cars now days but you can never be too sure. I used the cigarette lighter fuse as I know that is switched with the ignition.I literally installed it an hour ago so no comments on longevity yet.

Works fine. I haven't had any issue with my battery dying while powering my dash cam with the car off for up to day day or so. The only complaint I have is that the right angle is backwards from what I need. The cord hangs down from my trim and then loops back up to fit into the power on the cam.

Great product for wiring a dash camera.
Used this on my 2018 F150 and it works great. Plenty of length in wiring to run under the head liner and over to fuse box on passenger side. Need a micro 2 fuse tap to interface with this vehicle. The enclosed mini tap did not work with my vehicle but a micro tap was reasonably priced.

No dead battery after a year
So far so good. I was worried this would kill my battery but after almost a year I have yet to have any issues.Install is easy if you are comfortable with electrical systems. Fuse adapter provides power then just ground to metal frame (I test continuity and voltage relative to ground on cigarette adapter to be sure). I drilled a small hole in the metal behind the glove box after determining it to be a ground and then bolted the ground spade to this.

worked for my DIY custom installation
I knew I would have to splice and soder, but it all worked in the end. I had to drop from 12v to 5v for the camera and get a line up to the top of the windshield. It works.

Angled micro USB
This is basically the same unit as the more popular one on Amazon by the Spy(?) That had 950+ reviews. This one had no reviews but this one has the 90' degree micro USB which works better for my setup and allowed for a cleaner install.Unit works as it should and I am happy with the product.
