I'm using this as a toddler mattress for my son's play tent and to my surprise he's been going in there saying he taking a nap and enjoys it a lot.When unpacking, the mattress was compressed in an airtight plastic bag. I was anticipating some toxic smell thinking the suggested 24-48 hour period was also for off-gassing but it wasn't. The mattress was fine. I waited an hour or two and the foam seemed to bounce back quickly. I also washed the polyester cover in the washing machine on cold, and had no issues with threading or shrinking. I really like the cover. It feels nice and seems well made. The fact that it's waterproof is even better.While we are not traveling, I'm using this in my son's play tent. I put a crib mattress over it just to provide an extra layer of protection and decor. My son has been going into his tent all day pretending to take naps and has commented how much he likes it, so it's a win. I enjoy the portability of it as well, as it folds up and isn't too heavy to carry. I would recommend this if you're looking to add something softer in your pack n' play. Our nuna has a very hard mattress and I keep thinking how much nicer this would be to sleep on. For the price, this is definitely worth getting.
