is this light dimmable

is this too bright for a closet? does it get hot? any issues with the product?

That would depend on your closet size, I have installed it in a kitchen to illuminate the sink on one side and the stove on the other. It is bright for this area and illuminates that area well. It is indeed bright. As to the heat it generates I have not checked that since installing it, primarily because it is in a larger area, certainly larger than most closets. You would certainly have a lot of light output for a closet.

Can this be mounted as a replacement for a standard round light fixture?

Don't know what you mean by "standard round light fixture" but this is a ceiling fixture. Any ceiling fixture should be mounted to a round ceiling electrical box (which is in the ceiling hole) to which this does mount. Your fixture should also be mounted to the same so the answer is yes if that is what you mean by "standard round light fixture"

We’re using it in the shower. Any o problems? The bright light does not bother us.
