Worried since plastic, but is easy to use, durable, buttons come out nicely

The all-metal button parts are a plus. They are good quality pin backs. The 25mm mold does not need a washer at all to work with these pin backs, the paper one for the 32mm was already in place, and there were extra ones supplied; the 58mm plastic washer was also in place in the mold and there were extras of those as well. There are individual circle cutters for each size and each one has a spare blade. I'd suggest using a cutting mat. The molds are all magnetically attached to the base and swap out easily, the upper mold is held in place with a magnet. I didn't use the manual at all, but for those not familiar with this type of button maker, it's easy enough to just watch the videos. (Use only one plastic film and one shell - it's so easy to get two and not realize it). Orient the pinbacks with the wiggly non-clasp side up in the mold, the pin at about 2:40 position with the top side closest to the center axis; the paper should be placed in the mold on the shell so that the picture is up at the axis side a nd centered. Once you have figured out where the pin needs to be, everything should be level when pressed. I really like the magnetic swap out for the cups. Whether or not the plastic holds up over time is a good question but it seems sturdy enough. It's good value for the money especially considering the all-metal parts. It's nice to have replacements available readily for all three sizes of button. Just watch the many videos available if you're confused about how to use this type of button machine, they all pretty much work the same way.

Each size of the button press need a plastic/ paper washer to avoid creating a bottle cap crimp when pressed.**The 25mm size I received did not come with the paper washers, so I cannot currently use this size for my project. Super bummed. Four stars.**Now, I'll tell you my positive review!! It will take a minute to figure out how to line everything up just right, but once you figure it out it is an awesome machine! (Be prepared for a test of your nerves at first.) The instructions provided are exact on how to use it. However, you will have to play around with how to line up the paper and clear plastic side with the backing on the other. That was where my nerves were tested. Trial and error... nothing is perfect at first. Hope this helps someone.

I had a Vevor button maker that didn't make it a month and while I was waiting on a replacement machine I decided to purchase this machine since I had their keychains and bottle openers. The bottle openers didn't work in my vevor while the keychains did. Both work with this one and I even use this machine to get a better seal on the buttons I made with my vevor. The plastic handle on this machine feels more sturdy than the vevor as well. I wish I had purchased this machine first. They recommend up to 28lbs paper but I've been using 37lbs paper with 0 issues. It did take a learning curve at first to make sure the pins sat the right direction and the plastic fully crimped but that's to be expected when first working with any machine. I'd suggest at least 5 buttons to test the machine first.

Everything about this was good except for the fact that I was sent 3 washers all for the 2 inch punch and none for the other two, leaving them unusable for pins. Other than that everything works well and is decently made, just wish I could use all of the punches I purchased.

The machine was easy to figure out after watching a couple of little demo videos. The printed directions weren't much help but the videos made all the difference.I printed my art on regular 81/2 x 11 paper, used the circled cutters, prepared my stack o'art, and got my materials ready.The biggest challenge for me was to line up the front with the back pin so it came out level and centered towards the top of the button. I was able to figure it out in two buttons.Firsts I paid attention to how I placed my artwork for the front - straight up with the center at 12 o'clock. Then the back piece (metal) I placed the pin mechanism twisted slightly to the left about 20 degrees - almost 10 and 2 clock positions. I marked a dot on the edge of the press with a sharpie so I could quickly line it up the next time. It was consistent from button to button. Pay attention to the smaller button backs that they are right side up for pinning after they're assembled. The pin mechanism is more centered so I had to look at the back of each one before I placed it in the press.I cranked out 50 buttons in a very short time. Two sizes. Easy Peasy.

Instructions are terrible, tiny hard to read writing that’s barely in English. Me and my daughter can no figure out how to use is. Also was not sent washers for all sizes, just the biggest size so it’s only able to make that size buttons. Worthless and not worth the money.

Bought this as a gift for a teen who wanted to make buttons for their backpack. They have used it a handful of times so far. It was easy for them to figure out how to use it. Would recommend.

I bought this to make holiday pins for my coworkers. Just set it up and start! Super simple. Loads of supplies included. Makes 3 sizes. Really happy I chose this item.

The media could not be loaded.  No sé porqué tiene buenas calificaciones 5 estrellas esto porque la mayoría de mis botones los sacó MUY MAL, se ve el borde mal, la parte de atrás ni si quiera encaja a la perfección, aunque bueno qué podía esperar por este precio en vez de la de $3,000.

El instructivo no es muy claro, pero el uso de la máquina es muy intuitivo. Los botones quedan muy bien hechos con poco esfuerzo. Ideal para motivar a mis alumnos.
