IKEA NYTTJA Frame 4x6" BLACK (Set of 4 Frames)

Cheaply made but fine for the wall. I did not realize that there were not even glass panes in them - might have returned them but I just replaced the plastic like covering with a real pane from another frame. Okay for the price

These frames arrived today. Based on the IKEA name and other reviews I read, I wasn't expecting much. They're fine for what we wanted them for (adding to a collage of photos on a wall), but wow - they are certainly cheap frames. I would not purchase them if I wanted them for a desk or tabletop. The back of the frame is cardboard (almost paper thin) and I can't see the frame staying in position with such a flimsy arm.

For the price these frames are pretty great. If you're familiar with Ikea, you're familiar with the quality of the products and should know what to expect with these. For those who aren't, these are typical of all Ikea products and are made from inexpensive materials (polyurethane panes, fiberboard frame, and cardboard backing and stand). They get the job done and they look good.One thing though, I have these hanging and feel like that's the best use for them. The cardboard stand on the back is a little flimsy and might not be the best for something in a high use area where it may be moved every so often - like a desk.

The cardboard the holds it up is pretty flimsy. I'd rather go to Ikea and buy all 4 of these for like $2-$4.

I can't complain too much. They are cheap. The back stand doesn't seem to work too well, and it doesn't have glass but clear plastic. If we were using these for something other than what we were using them for, we probably would have been more disappointed. We gave these to our kids with a picture of them with their dog that had recently passed away. So the fact that these are going to get knocked around a little or dropped, perhaps the plastic instead of glass was a better option.

Sure, these are cheap frames, but unless you're moving them a lot or they're poorly shipped, you won't notice it. The frame doesn't make the picture, so the contents are the important part.As for build quality, none of mine were broken when they arrived. I got five sets of four frames for twenty in total, and they were all fine upon arrival. It was easy enough to put pictures in them, and I didn't notice any quality problems.For the price, these are quality items. In general, they are cheaply-made, but if you're looking for cheap frames, they will be fine.
