This product has a very big diameter which is great for letting lots of water out quickly. However, we have an Intex Pool and the drain is just bigger than a garden hose size. We couldn't get this hose to clamp down enough to be useful with this pool.If our pool had a bigger drain spout, this would have been amazing because it's great quality.

I was using an old pool vacuum hose as a backwash hose, but it didn't hold up to being out in the weather 24/7 and started cracking and leaking. This is a light weight and compact hose that rolls up easily when I need to clear it out of the way to cut the grass. It is thick and flexible PVC and seems like to will be more durable.

So far I’m pretty happy with this purchase. We have only used it twice, so time will tell if it holds up, but so far so good! I like that it came with the gaskets to hold the hose in place. Not sure that there is anything environmentally sustainable about the is product, so I do think there is a bit of greenwashing going on.

We have had a pool for years that when we need to backwash or drain out some overflow water in it we have just let squirt out everywhere. This changed it all for us! Now no more water going all over our pool patio and driveway. We got the 50ft option in this and now we just unroll it down into our yard and no more watery mess at the pool! We used the metal clamps and clamped right to your pvc pipe. If you own a pool you need one of these on hand for sure!
