Great Option for a Boat
I ended up installing this on my boat as an alternative to the old radio it had. I wanted to be able to pair with my phone to stream music. Overall this was easy to install and setup; follow the directions and you shouldn't have any problems. The quality of both the screen and also the audio was great; I didn't notice a difference between my previous setup and this. The only this to note is that like others have pointed out in the reviews, the photos don't show it wired up. At minimum you will have a power cord, and potentially other cords coming out of it depending on how you are using it (backup camera cord, AUX cord). Just something to be aware of since it won't be a slick, cordless install as pictured. Great option for the price either way.

Not worth the money
System is very temperamental. Only works 60% of the time. If you leave the phone plugged in via USB and turn vehicle off and on, it will not sync back up. Usually have to unplug everything and try again. 20% of the time it will connect and show on the screen but not play sound through. Gives a lot of audio feed back. Itâs probably worth $30. I would buy something different next time.

Large screen CarPlay access for cars that are not originally equip with it.
If you have an older car and donât want/canât replace the audio head unit or just want access to CarPlay in your car, I suggest getting this Soulgenix wireless CarPlay unit. The CarPlay screen is everything youâll find in a complete audio head unit that you would install in place of the vehicleâs original radio (minus the AM/FM receiver) and you donât need a dongle to be wireless. The 9â screen is BIG, enabling it to be viewed at any angle. The screen might be too big to be placed by the dash board and even the manual suggests using it as a âRear Seat Entertainmentâ system; then it defeats the purpose of using it for navigation. The touch sensitivity is very responsive to the lightest touch.Audio playback from the unit is low, even at its highest setting and is almost un-noticeable with the windows down. The FM transmitter is troublesome at best; especially in an area with lots of buildings - youâll find yourself constantly changing channels. If your car radio has an AUX port, thatâs the best way to go to for sound clarity and volume. The unit does not have a mic, communication between the unit (while on calls or voice commands) is soley depended on your phone/earpiece.A DC 12V to USB-C power cable is used to give the unit power, but can also be powered via a USB-C cable plug directly into the carâs USB port (if available). You can directly connect your phone to the unit via a USB cable, but itâs wireless. The unit I got did not come with a âsuction cup mountâ for the windshield as described, but a permanent dash stand. The included manual is a generic manual and describes features that are not available on this unit, such as the FM receiver feature; this is ONLY a FM transmitter. Also, the GPS feature is reliant to your phone.

Works very well but has a few minor issues
We got this for my wife's minivan for a recent trip. Her van does not have any screen or even bluetooth - just an aux in jack, so this expanded its capabilities dramatically. It worked great from my Android phone, and I'm very used to Android Auto since I use it daily (built in) in my own car. We connected it via the aux jack for audio and ran podcasts, maps, and music for the whole drive. It worked really well and did all that we wanted. Here's the couple issues we found....1. None of the photos on the listing actually show it wired up. All the cords stick out the left side of the screen. At minimum, you have power going to the screen, but probably an aux cable too and maybe another couple cables (we didn't use the rear camera add on or usb connect the phone to the screen, both of which are more cables). These don't look good, but I was able to use some adhesive clips to at least route them down the dashboard to the jacks as neatly as possible.2. It comes with a lighter plug power supply that you must use. The power input on the screen is a "usb-c" jack, but it's not standard. The power supply that is included is putting out 12V, not the normal 5V. So don't use the included one to charge your phone, and I couldn't get the screen to run off of other USB-C chargers.3. This leads to another issue. Our van only has 1 lighter jack, and the included power supply doesn't have any USB jacks on it. So we got a splitter and had both the screen's power supply and another lighter jack to USB adapter installed. It was a little messy but worked to keep our phones and the screen all running. You CAN run a cord from the screen back to your phone to keep it charged, but we had more than one that needed power for the long drive.4. This screen only comes with the adhesive flat mounting base. You need a flat enough part of your dashboard to install it and it's adhesive. The manual talks about a suction cup mount, but that's not included. I personally would have preferred that, but this worked. And it turned out ok - originally the plan was to just put it in the van for long trips, but my wife loved the convenience, so it's staying permanently for her! That's proof that it was good enough to overcome all the minor gripes.5. This is just an FYI - the night mode is controlled by your phone, at least for Android Auto. We were driving along and it was getting dark, but the screen was still in daytime white map mode and way too bright. The setting to have AA automatically change to night mode is in the phone's AA settings, so make sure you turn it on there.
