Killer distortion pedal
Amazing gain structure sounds like real amp drive. Very tight and percussive and the most gain I've ever found in a pedal. The eq helps for minor tweaks but sounds best with everything at 12 o'clock. One of the best high gain pedals around for sure.

Great value for money
Good sounds. Good value. What is not to like.

Fabulous distortion that matches Boss or Rat pedals at a wonderfully cheap price.
I recently rediscovered my love of guitar and have been buying various pedals like crazy. I have a few overdrive and fuzz pedals, but wanted a distortion pedal for the different tone. I ended up buying a ProCo Rat because of it’s legendary reputation but was very disappointed with the sound. It lacked any bottom or OOMPH compared to my other pedals. A month later I’m going down a YouTube wormhole watching guitar pedal reviews and saw several on the Joyo Splinter pedal. It got very positive reviews for its sound and price, and is supposedly based on the ProCo Fat Rat which retails for around £250. The fact the Joyo Splinter was currently available for under 30 quid made it a no-brainer to buy. This pedal is brilliant and is just what I wanted. The 2 switches offering a Fat and a MOSFET tone missing from my standard Rat pedal make all the difference to the sounds I needed. I would recommend this amazing pedal to any guitarist and lover of distortion.

Joyo Splinter Distortion - 5⭐ Fat Rat Clone
The Splinter is a clone of the "Fat Rat" distortion pedal. This is a £250 pedal for under £30; need I say more...The Splinter offers a great range of tones from low gain to heavy distortion. It does work well with other pedals too; I tried a Phat Mod Boss BD-2 with it and it overdrives the tone to another dimension.Excellent build quality all around and this pedal accepts both batteries or power supply, which is a bonus in this price range.5⭐ Joyo

Legal done noise gate.
Great noise gate, with a 2 or 4 cable option. Personally I think the 4 cable method works the best, other than that, it’s a great pedal.

Pretty good pedal but has small flaws
Build quality - 5/5Sound - 4.5/5Usability - 4.5/5Features - 4/5Pros - Good high gain sound, Built in noise gate, robust enclosure, nice design, operation lights great.Cons - Noise gate makes a small noise when cutting in, speaker or cab emulation not good, boost flattens everything and should really be a mid boost with low cut for solos.

Does what on says on tin,
Turned up on time, well boxed. Gives parallel pedal bank option with volume controls for blending and boost / cutting. Cables need to be refigured for different split options which are confusing but does what I wanted,

Stopped working first day… Joyo curse 😔
Super promising pedal, and seeing that it was nearing the price point of TC electronic, I really wanted to give this a try as when Joyo gets it right, things are epic. Didn’t write lower because I don’t believe it’s helpful to base the stars on personal experience when you know the bigger picture.Unfortunately, within three hours of being on the board, and only being engaged a couple of times, the true bypass started to admit a high-pitched whistle. I’ve had this with The monomyth twice in a row, which was super irritating as I love that pedal. I believe that my only issue was was a company is that they must not have an optimised troubleshooting and testing process before making a release. I’m under The impression that the issue with the monomyth was confirmed to be a batch issue after a YouTube reviewer had the problem, but I’m not sure about this one. Either way, the most recent pedals being released are really innovative aesthetically and look to be pushing the price point up a notch. I love these petals and I am desperate for them to feel like a safe choice when I order. The monomyth problem I heard on a paid tour and that was super embarrassing.

Great pedal
I heard good things about the Joyo orange juice being a clone of the tech 21 Oxford so when I saw this on sale I couldn’t resist. This pedal gives you that orange amp sound and sounds amazing!I play Bass sand this pedal let’s you dial in your tone with the low mid high knobs, the pedal does give alittle buzz when fully engaged and it does get into fuzz tones with the drive knob all the way up. Over great pedal
