Love the vice. Not a five because the vice pads are held on by magnets that, even before one came off d/t poor glue weren't very effective. No sweat! I superglue those suckered on. I'll be using this vice with fine wood so can't see a reason to ever remove the pads anyway.

If you have a shop you need a vise--preferably lots of them! (Wood workers, gardeners, sculptors, or anyone else who regularly uses tools will understand what I mean by that.) This bench vise is great for holding those short boards that you can't just hold in place by stepping on one end while sawing off the other end; or for gardeners needing that hoe to stay put while you sharpen it, etc. The soft jaws are a nice touch, as well, to prevent marring the surface of whatever you're holding in them. The vise is heavy enough to stay where you put it, even with only a couple of bolts to secure it to the bench (so you can more easily remove it when you're done and need it out of the way) and sturdy enough to last a lifetime. I expect to get a lot of use from it.
