Works amazing!!!
I was planting 15 plants around my patio that already had mulch installed. I wanted something to make things go faster. This tool made things go so much faster! You do have to be careful if you hit a rock or root because it can jerk backwards and kind of tweak your wrist. So make sure you have a strong grip on it. I didn’t want dirt flying all over my mulch so I cut a hole in the bottom of an ice cream bucket and that worked great holding the dirt in place. I was able to lift up the bucket and dirt and dump it in another bucket. My mulch didn’t get full of dirt using this bucket trick. If you don’t have a bucket the dirt would spread out some.

Large Auger
Came packaged well. Easy to attach to my drill. Runs smooth. Digs hole without you breaking your back because you can sit or kneel to use it. I love mine and I highly recommend this product. I think its priced adequately.

Excellent device but use a wrist brace
This is an excellent device for digging small holes for saplings. We planted 12 trees in just an hour that were sent to us by Arbor Day foundation. An electric drill works best but be sure to use a wrist brace as the drill may violently twist on you if it hits a root or large rock.

Garden help
Love the auger as the soil is soft on top and northern clay below. Works great, even around tree roots

A timesaver if you have an appropriate drill
We purchased several augers of different sizes to use with our Hammer Drill. This one is sturdy and makes a whopping big hole. We're not so sure any of the "garden drill bits" would work well with a regular drill. Several reviewers have said the soil must be soft and root free. These augers are not for the novice, it may grab on a stone or root so you need to keep a good grip on the tool. If you really want a time saver though, a hammer drill is not so expensive and will solve a lot of the aggravation others described.

To short
The main issue I have with this Auger is the length…it makes it really hard to drill into the ground, you have to get on your knees. Other than that it is strong good quality and does the job just not very user friendly.

Got this for my elderly Mom to dig with. She loves it.
I was worried it would be too much for her but she used it quite a bit this spring and it is her go to digging tool.
