RothcoGen Iii Silk Weight Tops

Not a winner
This silk weight layer is designed for wicking moisture more than anything else.100% polyester is Nowhere near as warm as wool or smart wool.It could be important as a base layer if you plan on being very active.I don't really care for it for insulation since I layer my clothing and wouldn't get sweaty in the 1st place. This does remind me of a dirt bike jersey (minus the graphics) which one would wear to keep direct sun off the skin (and avoid getting burned). The worst thing about this long sleeve shirt is that the thumb holes are sewn into the seam line. They should be offset a little.Their placement causes the forearm of the garment to be twisted when the thumb holes are used.I can definitely feel it bind up on my forearm. The stitching is well done in a coverstitch pattern.I will avoid using the thumb holes. As with any untried mail order garment, I only order 1 at a time. This allows me to assess the fit/function/comfort before I order another.I will not order another one of these.I will add this to my "willing to get ruined" side of my closet. Moreover; well built- good value-fit as expected - but not a 1st choice for my liking.

Not military quality, Large
The fit is too sagging in the arms but little short in length. The overall gel is too big but might draw up a little after a couple of washes. I believe it was will work just not issue quality but not priced that a way we either.

Big Ole Girthy Sleeves!
The sizing is ridiculous! I bought an XL, hoping to have enough shirt to tuck in and I did... but it just so happened to be in the sleeves. But no, not the length of the sleeves, the GIRTH!! I mean, how much girth do you need in the sleeves? I could probably have just climbed in the sleeve instead of wearing the shirt!

They run big
Super comfy and the color matches well for the OCPs. Only complaint is that a base layer is supposed to fit a little more snug so you can wear another layer on top of it; this shirt is too big to be a base layer. I'm 5'9", 190lbs, with a 48" chest. I'm a little beefier than the average guy in the upper body so usually need a large to fit comfortably...I definitely could've gotten away with a medium for this shirt.

Fit is horrible
Fit is pretty horrible. I normally wear an XL. I ordered a large hoping it would fit a little tight. The arms were super baggy, still too much room in the chest, super short around the waist. I could barely tuck it into my pants. The thumb holes face outwards instead on inward. Pretty disappointed. You'd have to be pretty wide and super short with incredibly long arms to make this fit right.Seller was great. Quick to ship.Sending it back though. Rothco fell way short on this product.

OK
It does what it’s supposed to, and was inexpensive. However, the cut is incredibly strange.

Sleeves are too short and Length is to too short

Sleeves way too long!
Nice feel to material but sleeves are way too long. (Size L). Cant wear as top layer as I need to roll up sleeves and amount of cloth looks silly. They have thumbholes so you could wear it over your hand. I can wear this under another garment (fleece / sweater) so the sleeve length doesn’t show.

So bad, it's comical
The neck is comically big, the seams for the arms are off. They either have no Quality Control or didn't use a human model when they made measurements. I'm looking for Coyote Brown 100% Polyester shirts for the military. Currently Platatac is the only company that I know of that produces them. UA Tactical Tech shirts are good, but they need to produce Coyote Brown and not "Federal Tan"
