Hoover CDCW-PSME

I bought the Power scrub XL but Amazon delivered a Faulty piece. The front scrub brushes attached with machine were not spinning they way it should as described. I checked it by re-assembling it but it didnt work whereas the hand scrub brush accessory of the machine was working and the brushes were spinning perfectly. Had to return it. Also very noisy.

Not cleaning old stains despite of repeated wash

Ok, so I had an older version of the Hoover pet (the blue and white one that’s only like $100-LOVED IT) and a Bissell Green pet upholstery guy. Used that Bissell once, cleaned, put it away dry; it was immaculate, then the seal from the clean tank got screwy, it was useless. LOST my mind at 2:30a cause this thing was leaking allllllllll over my brand new hardwood floors, and I just trashed it. I adored my Hoover so much that I was like I don’t care how much it is, I’m getting an all in one unit and gifting my Hoover pet. Fast forward to I’ve had this Hoover for a few weeks and I’ve used every aspect of it and holy crap- I’m in love all over again, but now I don’t have to have space to store two huge machines. A. The separate water and cleaner tanks is wonderful, though I don’t feel it puts out enough of the cleaning solution for my liking, even being on the deep clean setting. B. The larger tanks are sooooo much easier and more convenient to use. Seriously, if you think eh, the smaller would be fine; it’s worth the extra whatever amount for this model with large tanks. C. The entire unit which comes in contact with dirty water can be disassembled. This makes cleanup quick, easy and thorough. I also rinse the dirty tank when I’m working and have to refill/dump. That way nothing is building up as I go. I should have taken a before pic of my WHITE rug which rabbits, cats and house guests had ravaged. The think looks damn near brand new. Oh, totally forgot to mention my rug (which is fully synthetic and VERY low pile) feels DRY immediately after. I did run over and over the whole thing till no significant water was pulled up, so keep that in mind. All in all, spend the money. It would have been over $150 to have it GG professionally cleaned and this isn’t my only rug. It’s worth every penny to numerously use till it dies.

Excellent product and it really does the job

I AM NOT INTO LEAVING FEED BACKS BUT THIS TIME I HAPPILY DO SO. I DREADED REPLACING OUR APPR. 25 YEAR OLD HOVER CARPET CLEANER BECAUSE THESE DAYS COMPANIES ARE BUILDING SUCH GARBAGE. MY NEW MAYTAG WASHER IS A PIECE OF JUNK AND THE SERVICE IS A BAD AS IT CAN GET :O( THE SAME WITH THE LAST SHARK UPRIGHT CARPET CLEANER, USED TO BE AN EXCELLENT PRODUCT. I REPLACED WITH A HOOVER UPRIGHT AND AM QUIET HAPPY WITH IT. THANK YOU TO THE HOOVER COMPANY FOR EVEN IMPROVING ON WHAT WAS ALREADY AN EXCELLENT CARPET CLEANER. THIS NEW ONE IS SLEEKER, JUST AS POWERFUL, EASIER TO EMPTY, THE DIRTY TANK POP UP IS EASY TO HEAR WHEN THE TANK IS FULL, THE CORD IS LONG, ALL GOOD! HERE IS A PIECE OF ADVICE FOR YOU. AFTER WORKED WITH MANY CARPET CLEANERS OVER THE YEARS, SOME HOUSEHOLD, SOME INDUSTRIAL, AS I AM A RETIRED PROFESSIONAL HEAD HOUSE KEEPER IN THE HOTEL INDUSTRY, I CAN TELL YOU THAT HEAVY IS GOOD. THE HEAVIER THE MACHINE, THE DRIER TO CARPET. THE WEIGHT IS NEEDED WHEN REMOVING THE MOISTURE. THIS NEW MACHINE IS A BIT LIGHTER IN WEIGHT COMPARED TO MY OLD ONE, HOWEVER, THERE IS A LITTLE TRICK. BEFORE YOU START TO RINSE YOUR CARPET WITH CLEAN WATER, DON'T EMPTY THE BOTTOM (DIRTY WATER) TANK BUT LEAVE IT HALF FULL. THIS WILL ADD WEIGHT TO THE BOTTOM PART OF THE MACHINE WHICH IN TURN WILL GET MORE WATER/MOISTURE OUT OF THE CARPET WHICH SHOULD BE ALMOST DRY TO THE TOUCH. MOVE THE MACHINE OVER THE CARPET AS SLOW AS YOU CAN, THE SLOWER THE BETTER AS IT GIVES THE MACHINE THE EXTRA TIME TO REMOVE MOISTURE. WATCH THE TOP OF THE LOWER TANK FOR THE POINT WHEN NO WATER IS MOVING THROUGH. THE MACHINE LEFT MY CARPETS AS GOOD AS DRY JUST LIKE MY OLD ONE DID, BUT I DID HAVE TO GO BACK AND FORTH A BIT SLOWER THAT BEFORE AS THIS NEW MACHINE IS A BIT LIGHTER AND AS I SAID, LEAVE WATER IN THE BOTTOM TANK FOR WEIGHT. OUR HOUSE IS 80 % CARPET OR AREA RUGS SO i JUST FINISHED OUR LARGE LIVING ROOM AND THE DINING ROOM AREA RUG. AMAZING IS ALL I CAN SAY!!! DID NOT NEED A BOOKLET TO GET STARTED :O), THE TANKS POP IN EASILY, ALSO, WHEN THE TOP ONE WITH THE CLEAN WATER WAS EMPTY, THE BOTTOM ONE WAS FULL AT THE SAME TIME. HANDY! CARPETS LOOK LIKE NEW!!! THE CLEANUP WAS FAST TOO AS THE TANKS ARE SMOOTH INSIDE, NOT A LOT OF NOOKS AND GRANNIES FOR STUFF TO SETTLE IN. ANOTHER GREAT IMPROVEMENT IS THAT THE NOZZLE PART POPS OUT EASILY FOR RINSING, VERY NICE! YOU DO NOT HAVE TO USE THE CLEANING FORMULA, YOU CAN ALSO FILL THE LITTLE TANK WITH WATER INSTEAD AND ADD THE FORMULA TO THE FRESH WATER TANK DIRECTLY. FOR RINSING THE CARPET JUST FILL THE LARGE WATER TANK WITH FRESH CLEAN WATER. I USE A COMMERCIAL CARPET CLEANER AND ADD IT TO THE HOT WATER TANK FOREGOING THE LITTLE FORMULA TANK. THIS WAY I CAN CHOOSE MORE FOR DIRTIER CARPETS AND LESS FOR CLEANER CARPETS. LASTLY, I DID NOTICE THAT FOR SOME REASON WITH THIS MACHINE I DID NOT NEED THE 'DEFOAMER' WHICH I HAD TO ADD TO THE BOTTOM DIRTY WATER TANK WITH THE OLD MACHINE. BECAUSE OF THE FOAM I HAD TO EMPTY THE TANK SO OFTEN OR ELSE USE A SHOT OF DEFOAMER. NOW I DON'T HAVE TO ANY LONGER. I AM HAPPY, HOPE IT LASTS AS LONG AS THE OLD ONE :O)
