Beautiful Gift
I have enjoyed many Amy Tan books, and this is so different for her. Who knew she was an artist! It's a beautiful book for bird lovers. I take it out on my deck, put my Merlin app on, and enjoy her tales about nature and birds!

Beautiful!
I always enjoy Amy Tan's writing and I really love birds, bird watching, birding... So this book was a natural choice! I love the illustrations, so whimsical, beautiful, and in some cases more helpful than actual bird books. I mostly enjoyed the text, her interactions, interesting observations, investments-emotional, financial, time, etc. A wonderful book for any birder, backyard or otherwise.

For the Birds
Enjoyable and readable. Shows that Tan really appreciates and cares about birds. She went from no knowledge to knowing them intimately. I recommend this book to my classes on bird journaling. Brava Amy!

Very sweet book by this author. It lacks a lot of substance, but the illustrations make it a pleasure to look at. It’s very nice to see the diversity of her art forms.
