I didn’t find this item great so I had to buy the John Lewis version which is brilliant

A standard rug underlay consisting an 80 x 180 strip of ‘grippy’ mesh made of PVC. Designed for rugs on hard floors – easy to cut to size with a pair of scissors. It is thicker than others I’ve used before, so if you’ve a rug that goes under a door, be aware of the increased height. Otherwise works well and seems well made.

Easy to install, just a matter of cutting to size with a pair of scissors.Laid cut piece on floor and put mat on top.On a hard surface nothing moved, perfect.On carpet some rucking did occur but a big difference than without it. In fairness it is described as being for hard surfaces so I’m not complaining.It’s seems to be a fabric mesh covered in a rubbery stuff so it handles like a piece of material.No complaints.

Ihave rugs and runners covering all my hard flooring to give my dog some traction and to prevent injury through slipping. Some of the mats and rugs were slipping occasionally and this non slip rug underlay has stopped that from happening.Contrary to the packaging, the underlay does smell a bit, but it's not terrible and will soon dissipate.It's very easy to cut, I did it with a tiny pair of scissors.Is slightly padded so will raise the profile of your rug by a couple of millimetres.

The media could not be loaded.  The rug underlay measures 80 x 180cm. It was a little wide, but it was very easy to cut, it only took a few minutes. It does have a slight smell. Over all a good product, it's very strong and the material is thick. Value for money.

We have a thin rug down in our kitchen and while it doesn't move around a lot it does move around. I didn't want to put down a permanent rug fitter as I may want to get a different rug in the future.This product arrived in branded bag and it has a net like appearance and a silicone feel to it.It's much bigger than our rug so I had to cut it down to size.It stopped the movement of the rug completely, however it's obvious there is something under the rug which may be an issue if you've got doors that will open over the rug.Fitter what I wanted from this priduct it is perfect and I've no qualms in giving it 5☆s.

We recently ordered a new rug for our bedroom which we loved, however it was driving us crazy as it constantly kept moving and we were forever adjusting it! We did some research and found that the stickers you can get don't work so great on carpet and can cause damage so we decided to give this a go. I am so so happy with this! It works great, there is still a slight amount of movement if you are constantly going over it and not being thoughtful, but even then it doesn't move much. This is a huge improvement and I am really happy, highly recommended for rugs on carpets!This also could not be easier to set up, literally just put it under your rug, you could even cut it to size if you needed to quite easily. One thing to note is that this stinks of plastic when you first open it so we left this to air in a separate room for a couple of hours and the smell was gone completely.

This product is amazing. I am super impressed. It arrived in a clear plastic wrap and looked like a squishy fishnet.When taken out it’s wrapping it doesn’t feel particularly sticky but soft and slightly bouncy. The material feels plastic like and it is made from pvc.When placed on a hard floor, it doesn’t stick to it but offers grip much like a rubber sole does for a trainer on a gym floor. It is still easy to move around until you put your rug over the top of it. Once this is in place it doesn’t move unless you pick you rug and underlay upYou don’t feel it at all through your rug as it squishes flat and the rug doesn’t slide at all.The product is easy to clean and can be washed in the machine at a low temperature. Therefore it is easy to maintain and reuse it elsewhere.When it comes to buying I would certainly recommend ensuring you purchase an appropriate size. It would be better to buy larger as you can trim it down to the required size rather than buying something too small and your rug still slides around.A great product and great for securing your rug to hard floors without damaging the floor or rug. I would recommend it.
