Have a 07 Yamaha R6, & bolted one of these between the steering damper & the left fork adjuster with a long piece of threaded rod & a few nuts. Bolted through the existing hole for the stock bar clamps. Added a rubber 4 corner type band to be sure my phone does not come off when hitting bumps, already had a metal plate on the back of the phone's case for my magnet mount in my truck.Works EXACTLY how I wanted & my phone is VERY secure & will not come off if I hit bumps in the road.

These magnets are very strong. There are six little ones in the rubber encasement, as you can see the outlines on the picture. I'm not sure if there is a metal frame inside there also, but there doesn't seem to be any additional support. I don't like the way you are supposed to mount them, if you screw the mounting bolt in too far it will push through the rubber and possibly scratch whatever you want to put on the magnet. I am going to mount these on a board to hold up tools, but the included mounting bolts are too short. It seems they expected you to mount them on something very thin ( 1/8" or less). It would have been nice to have a center hole with a Phillips screws bevel so they could be mounted on something with the screw just below the surface.

Using this to create a little ventilation on my truck rooftop solar panel for hotter New Mexico days. Works great so far.

Seems heavy enough to do the job in my RV, to hold an external compartment door shut going down the road, as part of a belt and suspenders approach. Have not road tested yet.
