Cost less than the others, but the quality is just as good. Easy to install, just remember the feel of the amount of torque when removing the screws on the LGA cage. Then when installing the new bracket apply roughly the same amount of torque. Make sure to tighten in a cross bolt pattern a quarter turn at a time. Remember the pins in the socket will start to push up on the CPU. Don't over torque it, or u might damage the Mobo

Contact frame took two days from initial purchase to delivery. Installation was a breeze. After removing the Intel CPU retention bracket from the motherboard, I installed the intel 12900K in the socket (ASRock Z790M-ITX WiFi Intel LGA 1700 Mini-ITX Motherboard ) and then aligned the AVERZELLA LGA 1700 Bracket, CPU contact frame around the CPU and gently/hand-tighten the screws in a star pattern. I booted into the system bios to check that the CPU thermals were within normal temperatures. My system configuration has been running trouble free for over 30 days without issues.My system configuration includes the following:CPU: 12th Gen 12900K. Temps on my 1370 at idle are 28C now and peek at 70 only for a brief time.

While I wasn't experiencing any problems with my personal setup, I'd heard stories from other people running LGA 1700 setups who'd experienced bent CPUs so I wanted to prevent it before it became an issue. The installation here was dead simple once I removed by CPU cooler - it's just 4 screws, pull off the old parts and put on the new bracket using the same screws. It looks good, even though it will be covered up, and it seems to fit perfectly.So far I haven't seen any differences in performance or cooling, but the thermal paste still needs some time to fully cure so we'll see if that improves over time. Even if it doesn't improve cooling, the fact that it should prevent my CPU from bending is worth the investment.Highly recommended.

This is a very straightforward piece of milled aluminmum. It is very nicely finished with chamferred edges and black anodisation, and while it is completely unimportant, this thing looks awesome on the board, too bad you have to cover it with the pump or block. On the MSI Pro Z790 series (and others with the same black/white/silver heatsinks motifgs) it is a near-perfect match, aesthetically.My 13th Gen i5 hasnt been running long, and optical comparator says its nicely flat. I am confident it will stay that way, and will be getting several more of these to outfit any 12/13 gen that my family or friends I actually like might use.
