Love it - can easily switch between laptop and PC so only 1 keyboard required for 2 computers!
Wasn't sure if I would like the 'old school' keyboard, but the Nintendo style appearance sold it to me. Coming from an Apple low profile keyboard it is a different typing experience and I am still getting used to it, with a few more mistypes than usual, but I should get used to it. Saying that, the look is really nice, it feels VERY good quality, nice and heavy, lovely sound to the keys and feels solid with no travel/depression of the keyboard when typing. The thing that I like the most is that I can use it with both my laptop and PC without needing 2 keyboards. I can switch between the wired connection and the 2.5G USB connection so I can type on each computer with the turn of the switch. Really nice for keeping the desk less cluttered. Love it!

8bitdo quality strikes again
I absolutely love this keyboard. The quality of the keyboard is top notch as one would expect from an 8bitdo product. What I was not expecting was how satisfying and comfortable it was to type on. The feel of the keypresses is beyond incredible for a keyboard at this price point.

Pretty amazing keyboard
Upgraded from the ANNE PRO 2 and this one is so much nicer.1. Aesthetic = Lovely. Matches images.2. Keyboard feel = Really nice, feels easy to type.3. Hotkeys/features = I use this on Mac/PC and most keyboards are annoying, as I need to switch the ctrl + mac key all the time. With this I've got 2 profiles and can switch between them with 1 button.4. The big buttons are fun, but kinda useless.Overall, very happy.

A tidy, fun and functional retro keyboard, with the odd quirk for some users.
I’ve had this keyboard for about 6 months now, so thought it was time to tap out a review. The 8-Bit Do Retro Keyboard has been my daily use keyboard since purchase and, for the main part, I’ve really enjoyed using it.Form:If you’re a historian or simply a fan of retro gaming machines, you’ll instantly recognize the colour scheme on his keyboard. Styled in colour and fashion akin to the original Nintendo Entertainment System, the visual appearance harks back to a time of 8-bit gaming at its finest. The NES was a gateway to the future of gaming, and vastly superior (in my mind) to anything that had come before. If you have such memories of gaming, then you’ll love the style of this keyboard.Function:This is a mechanical keyboard like the ones from the 90s and 00s we used to routinely use with desktop computers. In the years since, we have become used to laptop-style keyboards with low profile silent keys to tap away at whatever we’re doing. In recent years, mechanical keyboards have returned, primarily for PC gamers (my observation, not necessarily fact), but my focus was purely on something that would be a pleasure to type with. On this front I’m extremely happy. The clicky-clacky keys make it sound like I’m achieving something, even if it’s a casual reply to an email. Keystrokes are natural, accurate and speedy, and I don’t find myself double-clicking or not seeing a character appear as I depress the key. I really like the feel and responsiveness of this keyboard.Quirks:I’m English, in England, using an English keyboard. This is not a UK English layout (but I knew that before buying). I’ve got a MacBook, so I’m familiar with the US keyboard layout and can work out that the @ and “ symbols are reversed. However, some keys - I’m looking at you / symbol - are unavailable. When you work with network and internet addressing, this can be problematic, so I find myself copying/pasting the slash mark if I’ve not got a shortcut set. You do have the option to set the red B and A keys to a custom choice, but as I can’t select the key in the first place, this doesn’t help as I’d hope. It’s a minor issue, however, and I could change the default layout in the Windows OS I use with the keyboard if it was a real issue. It is a pity that we can’t purchase individual replacement keys from 8-Bit Do to localise the keyboard, but, again, I knew this before buying so expected it. I will knock off a star for the inconvenience this causes non-US/non-Mac users.Overall:I really like this keyboard. It’s fun, colourful, practical and, six months in, reliable. Oh, I’ll add here that the battery life if excellent. I’ve charged it twice since owning, but the last time I did it was still at 60%, so that’s never going to cause a problem. Charging is easy to achieve with USB-C as well.

Awesome keyboard
I like the retro look, I’m happy to not have the generic RGB disco whenever I fire up my system and I enjoy the analogue ‘twisty’ dials that work well for volume control. The best thing about this keyboard is the feel and sound. A nice satisfying thunk thunk thunk on all the keys make for a premium feel. The big double button controller thing is a cool little party trick which can be mapped to various key combos.

First mechanical keyboard.
My first mechanical keyboard and its great. Always hesitated getting one but just had to have this because of the aesthetics. Clicking is a bit louder than I expected but I love it. The 2 buttons are a bit of a gimmick and I have put them back in the box.The multiple connection options mean I can jump between 2 computers instantly which is a huge improvement over having 2 keyboards.Overall just feels great to type on.
