So great for all young kids and those who struggle socially.
This is a great book for learning facial expressions! We speak a ton without words through body language and young kids and those with certain special needs struggle to identify this. Hopefully this simple book can help get those folks on a good path to being aware of how people speak using their facial expressions.

Simple yet Very Effective
Diane Alber delivers again! I love that this book is simple and straight forward. Great for Littles. I can use it as a refresher to the full books in my classroom lessons. Love it! Get more of her books. They are the best.

Matches the Spot Books & Curriculum!
I love how this book matches the feelings cards and SEL curriculum that goes with her SPOTs. This will help teach my students to refer back to the spot posters, feeling cards, etc when working to manage emotions! Great book! Pictures are colorful and I love that the kids can see clues from the spots faces to match to their or their peers faces.

highly recommend
Another GREAT resource book to help our neurodiverse kids recognize feelings in others and themselves. Diane Alber has created a great detective theme that playfully has kids “figure” out what emotions others have based on clues of eyes mouth…facial features. Very useful!

good way to teach facial expressions
This is Short quick read to help children identify facial expressions to a few main feelings. Could be helpful in repetition

A good teaching tool
What was nice about this book is that it shows how our faces have "clues" (eyes and mouth) to help others know how we are feeling. Throughout the book, different emotions are identified (i.e.: confidence, anger, happiness, etc.). I can see how this would help all children, including any who have social challenges, relate to others.

May be helpful for the younger readers
Although the little spot of books are great where all the feelings characters resemble essentially “peas” with appendages, the faces books give it a little more human look as some children can’t relate to the human like peas. This is a great way for children who need that slightly more human feel.

Cute little book helping children understand emotions
The 'detective' in the book helps children understand the emotions on the faces of the people around them so that the children can try to help them. The illustrations were perfect and good enjoyable read for children.
