If you've got cats, cleaning the cat box sucks. It's worse than mucking out a horse stall, because horses are vegetarians. Anything that eats meat (and cats MUST eat meat!), makes stinky poop, so you should be thinking about a long handled scoop.If you have inside cats, chances are, accidents happen. Nothing like a pair of long handled scoops to pick up that hard turd your little buddy left for you. (Oh, you son-of-a...!) Better get that cleaned up before the dog finds it! (Ewwww, gross!)I use flushable litter, and had a long handled, light weight plastic scoop with a light metal handle that worked great. Anything sticks to the scoop, a light tap on the toilet rim frees it. Don't try that with this scoop! It's heavy, thick metal, and that loud "clang!" tells you you're lucky you didn't break the bowl! It's heavy enough to clean up after a horse! (Just not big enough.)I wish I could find the lighter, plastic scoop with a long, light weight handle. I don't care if they don't last as long, if I can find replacements. This all metal one will probably last forever, but it's just too dang heavy for my preference.If you use non-flushable litter and toss the waste into a bag, I'm sure you'll be fine, but I hate the smell of used litter waiting to be taken out to the trash, and I don't have a septic tank, so flushable, natural, corn based litter is for me!Just be careful not to bang the toilet with this scoop!Endorsed by Spike, that naughty little dude.

I'm going to put temporary locktite on it so it won't spin.This is hefty even for the largest rock of cat pee.Its a scoop so it is designed for starting in a straight down position as you work across the litter box.The cushion handles are a good touch too in order to help with grip. If they fail then glue on a bicycle handle grip. Yes I think the tube are the same diameter. This is a hefty scooper.Kudos to the manufacturer

This is the best scooper I've used. Very sturdy. Made it must faster to clean the litter box. Got the one with the telescoping handle. The handle is padded. Never thought I'd be reviewing a litter scooper but it was a surprise to find a great one. Used with clumping litter.

We have ground coffee ground bedding inside our coop and construction sand in the run. This is perfect for easy poop clean up for both! Very sturdy! My only complaint is that the handle unscrews somewhat easily.

This didn’t up being ideal. The length is perfect but it’s heavy, and have to shake good to let excess litter fall through. It isn’t good for older people especially with weakness in wrists/hands, and if having to scoop/scrape the bottom.Maybe if the holes were a little bigger to shake off extra litter it might be better.But I say give it a try as the length does help if not having to struggle with everything else!

This scooper is exactly what I needed to maintain clean litter boxes after my total hip replacement. I live alone and following this surgery there are strict limitations on bending to the ground. As I have 3 cats and 2 litter boxes, I knew that if the boxes aren’t kept clean the cats will make the situation known. Cat parents know what I mean! I also wanted to be as independent as possible, and this extended reach scooper gave me one less thing to ask friends to help with.

With my arthritis getting worse it was becoming increasingly difficult to clean my litter boxes without falling. This haw been a lifesaver as I am able to toclean boxes everyday without fear of falling. Both myself and the kitty brigade are extremely happy.

Der gepolsterte Griff liegt gut in der Hand. Die Arretierung für die Stiellänge lässt sich leicht auf und zu schrauben. Mit der Schaufel und der Hebelwirkung durch den langen Stiel lassen sich besonders große Klumpen einfach in den Eimer befördern.In unserer Tierauffangstation vewenden wir Holzpellets als Streu in besonders großen Klos. Wer diese Pellets nicht kennt, sie zerfallen bei Kontakt mit Urin zu feinem Holzmehl. Mit der Schaufel kann man die gebrauchte Streu - das Holzmehl - leicht in einen Eimer sieben und die sauberen Holzpellets wieder zurück ins Klo tun.

Would have been easier to use if not so heavy... a little over kill with the gauge of the steel used. For people with arthritis because of the weight is difficult to use. Easy to clean and should last a life time.

Got for my aunt who was having a hip replacement and worried about not being able to bend far enough to scoop the box. She actually didn't end up needing it to scoop the litter box but was instead using it to scoop up the cat dishes from the floor to wash and fill. Lol

I bought this for my chicken coop and I’ve used it twice so far and it works just how I wanted! Love the long handle. Its made of metal thru out good quality and foam grips for the hand grips.

They could lower the price a bit. from looking at the pic it looks like two but there is only one. it extends to 21 inches, I barely have to bend over, it's strong, made from steel or aluminum.
