Portable Left Foot Accelerator Gas Pedal LFGP Fixable Drive Assist for Handicap Disabled Injured Stroke Drivers

When I had my Achilles tendon surgery on my right foot I knew it would be months before I would be able to use my right foot to drive, and so I researched all of the various options available on Amazon to allow left-foot driving that did not require a permanent installation. The moment I opened the box I knew I had made the right decision. This DriFeez LFGP device is the real deal: the base plate is solid piece of heavy steel that by its weight alone would be sturdy and avoid shifting during driving, and the velcro-style grip texture on the bottom firmly secures it to any carpeted floor: it will not move once firmly in place. The entire device is machined from real steel and beautifully crafted... every piece is solid and it's built to withstand far more rigor than a daily driver would ever subject to it. The adjustment range is generous allowing it to easily accommodate my Prius foot pedal placement. Most importantly, there is a guard included you can (and should) install to prevent your right foot from being able to accidentally hit the accelerator. This is a very important safety feature as anyone wearing a medical "boot" on their right foot could easily press the car's accelerator without realizing it and cause an accident. Having this feature allows you prevent that possibility entirely. I hardly ever review anything on amazon, but this product impressed me so much with its robust build quality and performance that I wanted to share my experience here as there are far too few reviews for this product considering how far superior it is to the many other alternatives.

This got me mobile again after a below knee amputation on my right leg. It was easy to install in my 2021 Ford Escape from my wheel chair. With a few quick adjustments I was also able to use it in my wife's 2021 VW Atlas. Has very STRONG velco so there is no movement once in place. Great value compared to having one installed for $750 and because it is portable I can move it to other vehicles.

The idea behind this is great. But as others have said in reviews, this item is truest only food/great if you bolt it down. No matter how much Velcro I added, the device cannot be held in place well enough. I had it in a 2020 F150 with plenty of flat floor space for it, but it didn’t matter. Took my floor Matt’s out and cleaned my truck rug VERY well before trying the Velcro. Didn’t matter. Tried other brand of Velcro from the store, with the highest weight rating and still no better. Velcro is just not the way to go. Not sure what is, other than bolting through the floor, but Velcro is not it.

Don't buy until you have checked with your state laws. You will need an evaluation by a licensed instructor, a professional installation, most install companies refuse to install the device purchased on Amazon and you will need an order from your doctor.Your instructor will evaluate you. You must have this and an order from your doctor in order to go to your DMV for approval.

As a person that had a right leg BKA getting the ability to drive back is a dream come true. Thank you!

I bought this after having a Bka amputation to assist in driving. It installs easy and is made of study materials but when I put more than just light force on the pedal it pushes it back off the controls, so I had to mount it to the floor using bolts even though I have a flat carpeted floorboard. With that I would say that it is not portable which is why I would rate it three stars.

It has plenty of adjustments to fit the actuator roller onto the gas pedal perfectly. The mounting plate is heavy enough so the hook velcro on the back locks on the carpet strongly, so that it takes considerable force to remove the unit from your floorboard. Since the floorboard on my Prius is not perfectly flat the two front screws through the mounting plate can be adjusted to keep it from rocking left to right. A perfect do-it-yourselfer. Love it ! Sure beats driving with your left foot!
