Much better than the boots you can buy.
My Springer Spaniel had a nasty cut on his paw that required stitches. I'd bought some boots which looked good but because his claws were long (despite being cut by the vet) there was no way the boots would stay on. I had even tried taping them on which was marginally better. These balloon things stayed on and he didn't seem to mind them being tight. I found it better to tape his paw first and ghen the balloon went on easier. However although the balloon wasn't punctured the foot still got damp. By the time I tried these it wasn't an issue but might have been straight after the operation when I had to keep the wound dry

Difficult to put on foot
When purchasing this product I was hoping that the opening would be loose enough to get over the foot but tight enough to keep the boot in place. However, the opening was concerning lay tight and a lot of training (or two people) is required to get the opening wide enough to slot the dogs foot in.The actual paw area is plenty big enough, just wish the opening was a little bigger

Perfect for my senior Husky
The media could not be loaded. My 13 year old Husky girl loves these boots!Sadly, she drags her paws across the pavement and makes them bleed - although we mostly walk in the woods or choose parks with loads of grass to explore, we do need to cross roads or walk on hard surfaces - these rubber boots are amazing for this purpose, I can clearly see how comfortable and pain free my dog is wearing them. The material is strong and so far we've not had any wear and tear marks. I did however have to make a little side slit off the top as it felt a bit too tight, but the boots still stay on and they don't cut off the blood circulation.Very happy with the product!

Too tight
Bought these for our German Shepherd to protect her cut paw. The opening is way too tight! We couldn't return them so in the end decided to cut the opening to make it much bigger and more comfortable for our dog and only use them for toilet breaks in the garden and use a protective boot on walks. The rubber itself is strong and good quality but definitely needs adapting.

Does exactly what it says
I bought Pawz boots to provide some protection and most importantly keep an injured paw dry on a large dog while out walking. To give some context - my walks are mostly country roads with lots of chopped hedge and field run-off on the roads. I bought the large Pawz boot for a female Golden Retriever (1.5yrs old) and they seemed a good fit for her.The boots themselves are exactly as described - like a thick(ish) balloon with a slightly wider neck. Putting the boot on is a slight challenge for 1 (but is achievable with a compliant dog) but much easier with two. The neck of the boot ends up reasonably tight around the dogs leg such that most water doesnt seent to get in (but it wont protect from a completely submerged foot). The potion round the paw ends up fairly loose and doesnt seem to rub the foot. Once on, my dog doesnt seem to bother with it at all so I presume this means it's fairly comfy for her.The boots seem to last one or two walks before picking up enough damage that a third would be risky but this will probably depend on the surfaces you're walking on. As they're disposable this seems pretty good to me. Assuming they remain intact the foot ends up nice and dry. We've had one ocassion when the boot was punctured by something sharp but I suppose thats always going to be a risk with a rubber boot. All in all I'm pretty pleased with it and ended up buying a second pack once the first one ran out. I had also tried some more "boot like" dog boots which claimed to be waterproof but these didn't evan last one walk so by comparison the Pawz boots seemed really good. Given the tightness around the leg I wouldn't want to leave these on for a prolonged period but they're not really intended for that purpose anyway.

Certainly an option, whether it's the RIGHT option only you can decide.
What you have here is a packet of twelve rubber 'dog foot protectors', which look rather like very thick, slightly oddly shaped rubber party balloons. If you need, as I do, to protect your dog's feet while they walk, then you basically have two options - traditional 'dog shoes', or these. Each option has merits and disadvantages. When I got my first packet of these, I looked at them and thought they would be very 'short life'. I find myself pleasently surprised. My experience is that these foot protectors seem to last about 10 walks - though that, of course, depends on how far you walk your dogs and under what conditions.COST - £12 for a packet of 12, so £1 each. Your dog wears 4 (assuming it has the normal number of legs), and you're replacing 1 foot protector (on average) every 2 1/2 walks (each foot protector lasting 10 walks). So each walk costs you 40p.Traditional shoes, though more expensive (in general) for a set of 4 might well prove cheaper long term, assuming you don't have a dog (like mine) that manages to shrug them off when you're not looking!COMFORT - My dogs DETEST traditional dog shoes. They don't exactly like these either, but they seem to detest them less.EASE OF USE - Puting these foot prptectors on, and taking them off again, is easier than traditional dog shoes. No straps to fasten - just stretch, slip over the foot, and allow the narrow neck to close around your dog's ankle. They also seem RELATIVELY secure - even my 'bel' has only TWICE managed to shrug one off.CONCLUSION - not for everyone, but certainly consider them. I think they are surprisingly good for something that actually LOOKS a bit naff!

Easy to get on and did the job
I have a large English Setter with arthritis. His back legs are starting to get a bit wobbly and, on smoother floor surfaces, can slide out from under him. At home I've managed to cover most areas with mats and rugs but, for places like the vets, I needed something to give him a bit more grip. These are perfect. They are relatively easy to get on - you have to stretch the 'mouth' of the boot as though you are putting football socks on a child (!!). They stayed on, didn't seem uncomfortable or to bother him at all, and gave him a lot more grip and stability.
