The all-metal button parts are a plus. They are good quality pin backs. The 25mm mold does not need a washer at all to work with these pin backs, the paper one for the 32mm was already in place, and there were extra ones supplied; the 58mm plastic washer was also in place in the mold and there were extras of those as well. There are individual circle cutters for each size and each one has a spare blade. I'd suggest using a cutting mat. The molds are all magnetically attached to the base and swap out easily, the upper mold is held in place with a magnet. I didn't use the manual at all, but for those not familiar with this type of button maker, it's easy enough to just watch the videos. (Use only one plastic film and one shell - it's so easy to get two and not realize it). Orient the pinbacks with the wiggly non-clasp side up in the mold, the pin at about 2:40 position with the top side closest to the center axis; the paper should be placed in the mold on the shell so that the picture is up at the axis side a nd centered. Once you have figured out where the pin needs to be, everything should be level when pressed. I really like the magnetic swap out for the cups. Whether or not the plastic holds up over time is a good question but it seems sturdy enough. It's good value for the money especially considering the all-metal parts. It's nice to have replacements available readily for all three sizes of button. Just watch the many videos available if you're confused about how to use this type of button machine, they all pretty much work the same way.

This button maker machine is exactly what I needed and it works very well. Comes with a lot of buttons, so it will last a long time.

Each size of the button press need a plastic/ paper washer to avoid creating a bottle cap crimp when pressed.**The 25mm size I received did not come with the paper washers, so I cannot currently use this size for my project. Super bummed. Four stars.**Now, I'll tell you my positive review!! It will take a minute to figure out how to line everything up just right, but once you figure it out it is an awesome machine! (Be prepared for a test of your nerves at first.) The instructions provided are exact on how to use it. However, you will have to play around with how to line up the paper and clear plastic side with the backing on the other. That was where my nerves were tested. Trial and error... nothing is perfect at first. Hope this helps someone.

I was fully ready to leave this product a 1-star review when I first received it. This was because the machine seemed broken because the top mechanism wouldn't fit into the lever slot like it showed in the manual, and the multiple instruction videos I watched. I decided to reach out to the company to let them know that their machine was defective and that I was returning it for a refund. I was pleasantly surprised (especially nowadays) when the representative reached back out to me and offered to assist. They sent me out a brand-new machine quickly and made the entire situation right. The new machine worked as it was supposed to, and I am now HIGHLY satisfied. Not only does it make beautiful buttons (you have to get used to how to lay the pictures in the spaces), it also is nice to have support from the company who want to make things right if something is off. They were prompt and I am very impressed. Don't hesitate on this fun and crafty purchase!

Big fan except for one major fault — the largest size stopped working after a month! There’s no user error or breakage we can detect, it’s a product issue. The two smaller button sizes continue to work great. Contacted the seller but didn’t hear back. Would prefer to resolve the issue though!
