This thing is great!!It's the perfect handheld size and you can also use it when it's standing up on a flat surface. I have several jewelers loupes and I wanted something a little bit bigger. The lights are great and the black light is too, things fluoresce really well. I have purchased several other magnifying glasses and the black lights always suck.Good price too. I am very happy with this purchase.

It stopped working after 1 day. Poor quality. I do not recommend this product

I use magnifiers to help me troubleshoot fountain pen nibs that are difficult to write with. This magnifier has LED lights that make it very useful for this. It comes in a plain box, protected with a foam wrapper. The lenses have a protective plastic that is easy to peel off. It takes three AAA batteries that you will need to supply.While I was able to figure out how this works, it does not come with any instructions and there are also none on the product page. The only control on the light is the power button. Pressing the power button will turn the light on. Waiting a second and then short pressing it again will cycle between three light types. Two types of white light and a UV light. On any of the light settings you can press and hold the power button and the light will slowly get dimmer. Release to keep the light at the desired intensity.The one thing that I wish this had was either a cover for the lens or a bag for the entire magnifier to protect the lens. It works well and will be handy with only small areas that could be improved!

I've kept a magnifying glass in my desk for years. It's handy for all kinds of details that were too small for me to see or read. I've recently become interested in coins and thought this would be even better for examining them. The lens is great! I can see details that were just not possible with a magnifying glass. I really like the size of the lens. It's much better than a jeweler's loop. But I am very disappointed that the LED light was defective right out of the box. Seems like a little quality control would go a long way.
