SimCity 4

Sim City 4 is a lot like the previous version of Sim City I had, except it's much more difficult to establish a nice income. The budget is always on the brink of running into the red. In case you aren't aware, Sim City is a game where you play the Mayor/Developer and zone land, build monuments, and plan and construct (to some degree) the infrastructure. Usually in every game there is a threshold that, once you pass it, everything starts going well. For Sim City that usually meant getting over a five or ten thousand population and making deasl with the neighbors. In SC4, there doesn't seem to be a way to get on the fast track to population growth or income. Population growth is slow and feisty, and it's very difficult to establish a profitable income. I prefer my older version of Sim City for some of the graphics, and I think the flow of the game (although that's a really close one). Earlier versions weren't challenging enough, SC4 is kinda non-eventful.

I have to admit to being a Sims addict. My recent thing is Sim City. I bought this looking forward to the release of the new release in 2013. I was just disappointed.

SimCity 4 is a very fun, somewhat addictive game. My only problem with it (and other games in the Sims series') is that it somewhat frequently crashes, which is why I rated it 4/5. It's really inconvienent and you lose everythng that wasn't saved up until that point, so I'd recommend frequent game saving, especially after anything big you complete in the game. It's somewhat impossible to run a successful, big city without the cheat codes, which you can easily google for. But a cheat for a $1000 is ctrl+x, then type 'weaknesspays' in the green box at the top left corner. the cheat to unlock all the gifts is ctrl=x, then type 'you don't deserve it' in the green box at the top left.....But the $7.99 price tag is an excellent price and the shipping wasn't bad either. However I'd recommend SimCity 4 Deluxe for more features.

Although this game got a nice graphics upgrade, it is missing much of what made this series special. They tried to animate the city advisers, without much success. They follow very short, looped animation that looks terrible. No humor whatsoever in this game. Game play is slightly improved, in that roads are built for you within the zones, and everything looks more realistic, but the game really isn't any fun to play.

This was a fun game, but we seem Problem with SimCity games keep them going. But doing so it was a good experience and would definitely do it again.

It's an okay game, interesting doh, if you wan to learn how the World functions .

This is a fun game. It's been around for a long time but still hasn't lost it's appeal. Nothing like building a nice big city and letting hostile flying saucers loose on it.
