An essential replacement
I recently inherited my Dad's Festool orbital sander. After stretching the previous pad far beyond it's life, I'd been scared to look up a Festool part as I wasn't sure my wallet would survive.I was pleasantly surprised at the cost of these, enough that I won't hesitate to buy a new one. They do last pretty well, but after lots, and I mean lots of use, the edges can get damaged, making it harder to reach corners and also damaging the edge of the sanding sheets quicker.They're dead easy to remove and install, just a simple screwdriver job. The velcro is incredibly sticky, still feels as good as new after a couple years of heavy use, cakings of sawdust and more.

Good replacement for original pad
Theres a few different "softness" levels out there and it was confusing. This one seems to be a comparable replacement to the one that came with the sander from festool. Personally I think festool itself is overpriced and overrated but i got mine second hand.
