Great solution to my
I live in a neighborhood surrounded by a creek and trees. This area has many insects (especially after rainfall) and I needed an instant solution for gnats and mosquitos that find their way inside.I purchased this weeks ago, charged it one time and have been using it on that charge ever since. It is easy to use, effective and has an appearance that blends in with all my other home products as I mostly buy devices in black. The flashlight is largely unused in my home as I tend to keep rooms fairly bright, but could be a nice option for those in dimmer environments. If you need a product that meets and exceeds your expectations then I highly recommend this one.

NOT a FLY swatter
I bought this to kill flies that were hatching somewhere in our basement. When it arrived with a 2nd trial product, I was somewhat taken aback because the box clearly stated it was a "Mosquito Swatter." I thought it could be a translation error as it is a direct Chinese supplier based on the name. Nonetheless, I charged it overnight so I'd be ready for a day killing flies.Sure enough, the next morning a fly emerged from the depths of the basement. I was certain that it had traveled to its death as it definitely touched the wires on the swatter as evidenced by the spark, and I automatically looked to the ground to see where it ended up. I was shocked when I look up and noticed it did not even drop in elevation! I touched it again and saw the spark, but again it kept flying like normal. The third time I touched it and it did descend a little, but it kept flying with seemingly boundless energy. Finally, I touched it a fourth time and it dropped to a table. I was able to pick it up and dropped it onto the wires and "fried" it as best I could before depositing it outside.Overall, my best guess is that the "rechargeable" aspect of this device compromises its power but it could probably kill gnats and mosquitoes fine. I also have a battery operated version that kills gnats easily by burning the wings and it knocks these same flies to the ground on first contact. I could easily pick them up and finish the flies off the same way, and the battery-powered one is much more effective at killing them.

Zap Them Out
I gave this 4 stars because I had to return the first one I got. The first one just stopped working but worked well until it did. I do feel like the holes could be smaller for zapping gnats or fruit flies. Not saying it doesn't zap them, but they have to be a certain size to get caught in the grates. I love that this can be charged and hung anywhere for storage. Easy to use and quick to rid the air space of pests. The battery seems to last a few days but you can tell when the power is low. Highly recommend.

Does not zap in the center
Was not killing flies they still got away. Exchanging them as it did not meet expectations.

To the Mosquitos: TENNIS ANYONE?
There's nothing as satisfying as the pop, pop, pop of frying a big, blood-laden, low flying Texas mosquito. I don't wait for them to come to me, I go hunting! The trail of smoking mosquito carcasses I leave behind sends the message, "Don't Mess With Me and My YISSVIC!" (whatever that is - only the Russian mosquitos fear it, apparently).I had a cheap battery operated fly (mosquito) swatter for years, but finally bit the bullet and upgraded to the Lexus of fly swatters; the YISSVIC. Being rechargeable means no more buying "D" cells and no more contributions to the massive battery wasteland somewhere. The quality seems solid and the large, oblong face on this thing makes it easier to commit mosquitocide than with one of those dinky round ones you see elsewhere. I'm sure it works for flies too, but they don't come 'round these parts no more...
