I know we should know what to share with our young ladies but this helps. My daughter in-law and I took turns explaining to our 4th grader what was going to happen to her body. Thinking back to our first period we chose to be proactive versus reactive.

This is no way a book for a 8 yr old girl. She doesn't need to know about a penis and how babies are made.

This is such an amazing book! I wish I had something like this when I got my first period. What I loved most was how the book turned what could have been an awkward conversation into a bonding experience with my daughters. My youngest daughter wanted to read the book but the older refused to hand it over, the younger came to me crying that the older sister did not want her to see her period... its a great buy and read, my kids love it.

My daughter now feels well-prepared and supported, thanks to the clear, compassionate guidance in this book. It is a great book for my baby girl.I think the spelling errors have been corrected because I bought the ebook first before paperback and found no errors.

Bought for my 9 year old daughter as she is going to be learning about periods at school, so wanted something to look at with her beforehand. This book is perfect, as it is just about periods and the menstrual cycle, aimed at girls, without topics around sex and puberty, which at age 9 is a little too soon. I would highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a book just talking about periods. There are a few spelling/printing errors, but these are correctable and forgivable, given the excellent content of the book. A super buy!
