BEST U2 album ever and THE ALBUM of 2014
I am a lifelong U2 fan and in my view this is the greatest U2 album to date! Far better than The Joshua Tree or Achtung Baby or anything else for that matter. Most people have already got the free down load, but it is well worth investing in the physical CD Deluxe Edition. As you get a disc full of new material including: Two really great brand new tracks: 'Lucifer's Hands' (3:54) and 'The Crystal Ballroom' (4:39). You also get an acoustic session shown as one track which includes: 'Every Breaking Wave'(4:28), 'California' (3:19), 'Raised by Wolves' (3:57), 'Cedarwood Road' (3:18), 'Song for Someone'(3:35) and 'The Miracle (of Joey Ramone) (Busker Version)' (4:06). Wait there's more! 'The Troubles (Alternative Version)'(4:32) and the sinister 'Sleep Like a Baby Tonight (Alternative Perspective by Tchad Blake)' (10.27) which also includes 'Invisible' as a hidden track. Is it worth buying a copy? Most definitely as all this bonus material is like having another U2 album, also you get the down-load version for free including a different digital booklet and breaks in the acoustic session if you buy from Amazon.Great, great, great album with nice new bonus material. Can't wait for 'Songs of Experience' and 'Songs of Ascent' which are due in the coming months. 10/10

Coming back from the dead?
I passed on the last three U2 albums, (ATYCLB, HTDAAB, NLOTH), nothing 'connected' with me, in the way that every one of the previous albums, from Boy to Pop, had done. Yes, I even liked Pop (though it suffers from needing a couple of weaker tracks having been cut, to make a stronger whole - as so often happens when artists start to loose that cutting edge perspective). This took sometime to win me back around, but after a few listens I started to feel that there was a passion back in the music that was such an essential ingredient.

Anyway it is made up of finely worked tunes nothing stands out at the moment as good or bad but I have only heard it twice ...
so why do people moan so much about U2 ,is it because they started out as a rock band and then changed to more of a pop group, the moaning that they could not get them of there I-tunes accounts .Anyway it is made up of finely worked tunes nothing stands out at the moment as good or bad but I have only heard it twice so far

The first track on this CD is very good, however i kind of feel that U2 are running out of fresh ideas and some of the tracks are a bit bland. This group have reached their peak long ago in the eighties, and now it seems that they are just going through the motions. This latest offering is an okay album but not the best.

This vinyl has Crystal Ballroom; a 12" track exclusive to this version of the release. It is 7:30 mins long. It is not the same track as available on the Deluxe version!!! that version is 4.40 mins. The longer version is not available for digital download ! Other things to note is that the two vinyl records are white :)
