First of I've been playing guitar and recording for 40+ years. I've had marshall, splawn, peavey, fender and mesa boogie throughout the 80s and 90s. I've had all kinds of rack gear and effects processors. I have been using Axe FX live and in the studio for the last 15yrs.I bought the mini as a backup for my current rig.I found it extremely intuitive with the touch screen menu and the computer software makes it even easier to dial in great sounding patches.This is a small compact easy to use for beginners and professionals who want to get awesome sounding tones.I play all genres of music and this thing has it all.It's not a "deep dive into crazy amounts of parameters getting option anxiety" like the Fractal Audio axefx III, but this gets you there for only $200.00. This thing is impressive.I only wish I had this when I was starting out.Keep playing and rock on!

I am super impressed with this Hotone Ampero Mini. I’ve seen people online comparing it to the Amplitube Tonex (which is almost double the cost), and now that I have both, I think I side with the Ampero Mini. This is primarily because the Ampero Mini is very much at home on a pedal board, and the Tonex is more conducive to studio recording with a DAW. This Ampero Mini also has a very modern touch screen interface, is very easy/intuitive to use, it looks great, and it’s very small. This entire multi-effects process or is barely bigger than a standard pedal. It has many (198) presets that mostly sound great, and it’s very easy to tweak a given parameter right on the touch screen. Not every pedal can go in every “slot” in the effects chain, but you can get all the right/typical ones where you need them, and the digital emulations sound really good in my opinion. You can include 3 effects, an amp, noise gate, cab sim, EQ, delay, and reverb in the signal chain. This single Ampero Mini can easily reproduce a small 6 or 8 pedal board, and sound great while doing so.It also includes a 100 second looper, a drum machine with 100 patterns, and an external jack for an expression pedal (not included). You can read on their website about the 24bit signal processing, etc., but I’ll tell you it sounds great. The modern touch screen interface is what really sets this apart from competitors. . . it just makes everything EASY! I’m not sure why so many competitors have not included a touch screen.Now, because of the small size, there are some limitations. You don’t have dedicated foot switches for each individual effect, like the very large multi-effects pedals do (e.g. Line6 Helix, etc.). So, you need to just save your presets in adjacent banks. You also need an external expression pedal. But, this small size makes it entirely possible to have a very compact, portable, and full featured pedal board.You can also use this as a USB audio interface, but I don’t tend to record much with a DAW, and so I didn’t test this functionality. I’m entirely, 100% pleased to use this right on my pedal board. The very brief instruction card doesn’t cover the USB interface functions, and you’ll need to go to their website for the full details.Last but not least, this comes in a few different colors. I originally got this for my daughter’s pedal board (though now I want to use it), and she wanted purple. It’s nice that this option was even available. Thank you Hotone for a modern touchscreen pedal, with great sound, small size, pedalboard friendly, and some fun colors! Final rating: 5 very full stars! For what it is, what it costs, and its size, this thing is just awesome.

Estoy encantado. Queria sobre todo un simulador de amplificador y gabinetes, pero todos los efectos y capacidades de configuración son de nivel profesional. Su pantalla táctil es tan efectiva como la de un celular moderno. Lo complemente con el Ampero switch, ya que su limitación más clara es la falta de botones físicos, y con eso queda listo para un uso más fluido y cómodo.
