Wanted to write a quick review after one year of heavy wear, because I think this company deserves it. Wore these all last summer and fall, and again daily this spring, and overall they still look almost new and feel like they have years of life left. They definitely stretch a bit, so buy a bit too small and plan for a week or so of break-in. They might rub a bit at first so don't plan to walk too far in them for the first week, but after a little wear-in they really mold to your foot and are comfortable to walk in all day. The leather is thick but supple, definitely good quality. Lastly, I really like the heavy rubber sole, rather than an all leather sole - it adds grip, durability and makes my feet less sore when walking on cobblestones, etc..Anyway, style-wise everyone has their own opinion, but in terms of quality material and durability, I have worn and loomed at a lot of braided leather shoes and these are better than the many more expensive Italian-made alternatives I have seen. Totally worth the price.

After reading a ton of reviews for these shoes, I decided to do what was suggested and get 1/2 size down. My first time putting my shoes on, I thought that they were extremely tight and uncomfortable. I was definitely under the impression that they were too small and that my proper size would’ve fit better. I decided to stick with the break in process to stretch them out. After wearing them for a few hours, I did notice that they stretched out a bit. I’ve been wearing them now consistently for about 4-5 days, and they are definitely a lot bigger. More akin to a size 9 then the purchased size 8 1/2. They are still a bit snug, but but they’re at least comfortable. If I had gotten my proper size, size 9, they would have been too big after stretching and probably would slip off the back of my heel when walking.

They were a little darker than I had anticipated, but overall look nice! The insoles are not as soft as I was hoping.I normally wear 10.5 EE and normally if they don’t come wide, I go a size up. I saw an answer from Nisolo saying to order a half size down as they run a little big. So I stuck with the 10.5. They do seem a little roomy as I am forming a blister on my one big toe, so I wonder if I should have ordered the 10 to let things be tighter and stretch.I got these for a beach vacation, so I will update afterwards.UPDATE: The blistering went away after about two weeks of trying them out. They worked great at the beach. Even though they let sand in, they also let the sand out easily and doesn't get stuck anywhere. I could not wear them out as they want to slip off the back of my heel. They are comfortable enough that I think I would give this a shot at a size 10 once I have worn out the bottom soles of the shoes on this current pair.

These shoes are just lovely. Well made... of quality materials. I know they will age nicely, becoming softer and more familiar to me. They run true to size, I got 11s because they were the only size near mine with Try Before You Buy, but they were too big and loose and flapped when I was walking, so I returned them and bought my regular 10.5 size outright. I loved their quality, and the company is dedicated to all the right stuff: ethical standards for animals and a living wage for the workers.-I've been wearing boots for +20 years, it's time to give my feet a break. These things are doing the trick.

Great looking sandal but the foot cushion and sole are hard as a rock. The foot cushion is flat, no arch whatsoever. For a man in his fifties my feet have been through a lot and I need some cushion and arch support these sandals give neither!

Usually, I take an 11 1/2 shoe size, so i ordered according to the recommended size in burgundy for $100. However i found these do run large by almost a full size.I returned this pair. I reordered in Tobacco in size 10 1/2, but found the price had gone to $120. After two weeks delivery time, they arrived today and these fit a little snug. I think they'll stretch out as they break in, so the smaller size should be OK. I noticed these are now selling for $150, 50% increase over a month.Tariff pricing?
