The gold glitter in the ink settles very fast. The first two drips of your pen will contain glitter then it will all have settled to the bottom.

Hello everyone,I have taken up the art of calligraphy and I am in practice. I purchased this item because out of all the art supplies I do own, I haven't ever bought any good quality inks. I have in the past bought lower quality art inks from my art supply store and I find that there is a baseline for quality with ink.Unfortunately, I don't know if these are water based inks or almond inks, but they do repeatedly state the fact that they are pigment based inks. Pigment based ink refers to a quality baseline that is sought by both artists, calligraphers, and tattoo artists alike.NOTE: I only mention tattoo art above because of relation to the quality pigment based inks provide. This set is NOT a tattoo ink set and should not be used for tattoos at all.The ink quality is superb, opaque and literally pure color. I would feel comfortable diluting it with some distilled water in another well, or on paper, but I wouldn't try diluting the whole entire bottle you would ruin the quality of the ink. Again, the ink is quality and well pigmented and has a fine glitter like effect that adds so much to the art you create with them.The bottles are as stated to be premium and high quality glass bottles that can be re-used or saved. Each bottle comes stamped with a different animal showcasing the color of the ink in the image for reference.I really love this set, it does come with its own storage box which is a premium laminated cardboard box with die cut orifices for each individual bottle in a laminated foam pad. The box is very nice and it will definitely keep the glass bottles from breaking one another and should be kept for storage of the set.I gave this set a 5 star review for quality of ink and an absolutely wonderful presentation. I can suggest this set for students or professionals, and for yourself or as a gift.I hope you find this review helpfuland I hope you enjoy your new item.

I love these shimmering inks, and feel delighted and spoiled having such a large collection of colors!I've been using these to create illuminated letters. The shimmery particulate does settle to the bottom of the bottle, so it requires a good shake before using. I have been using them primarily with a glass pen so I can also stir things up if they start to settle in the midst of a project. The glass pen can be submerged past the nib and is much easier to clean than a wooden pen holder. While the ink is mixed I sometimes also use a miniature brush which also works well.My package arrived in perfect condition; there was no spillage or problems with the bottles. The bottles, with their adorable animal labels, nestled in their foam cushion, inside the black and silver box make an impressive display. Calligraphers and artists who draw in inks would be very pleased to receive these as a gift!

I was so excited opening this box. It reminded me of high end chocolates in its sleek packaging. Once open, I was disappointed to find 2 inks (black and brown) were missing any form of labeling.Disappointment quickly turned to disgust when I learned the black ink wasn't even sealed and it leaked a black mess all over the black foam inset. (Read: absolutely invisible to the eye) It left my fingers stained as I tried to clean up the ink-soaked sponge. A huge mess I didn't expect.Now I'm left to wonder if I should return it. You, dear reader, should wonder if you should purchase it.Edit: upon checking the rest of the inventory, 2 more inks (red and orange) were also leaking. I can't believe a product was sold in this condition!

This is a review for "AXEARTE Calligraphy Ink, 12 Colors Shimmer Dip Pen Ink Set"- The inks in this set are gorgeous. 5 out of 5 stars for the colors.- Like other inks with mica/metallic powder in them, you must stir the bottle every single time, before you dip you pen back in. The mica powder sinks to the bottom of the bottle very quickly. This gets old fast, but is not a problem unique to this set. I have experienced this with other brands of metallic inks as well.- The first order of these inks, 3 bottles had leaked in transit.- In the replacement package, 5 bottles leaked during transit.- The box is a very nice looking and sturdy cardboard. 5 out of 5 for that.- Plenty of foam packaging inside the box and nice little square coffins for each bottle of ink. No bottles were broken during transit. Plenty of padding. 5 out of 5 for padding.- Zero out of 5 for the caps being screwed on tightly, is all I can guess for so many bottles leaking in transit.While the ink is very pretty, I'm afraid to recommend this as a purchase until the seller can demonstrate this assembly problem has been resolved. Amazon has been great in terms of shipping and replacing my orders.

These are really pretty. They do come nicely packaged, but I do agree they should be shipped upright, though that doesn't necessarily mean they'll go through shipping upright. I didn't have any problems with leaking. Maybe a seal would be sufficient, as well. They do need to be stirred/shaken every so often, but with most things that have mica powders, that's the case. They're very nice colors, and very sparkly!

The colors are stunning, the square glass bottles are excellent.

The packaging is beautiful and the inks nice, but opening and picking up the bottles some were leaking.
