Guys, just go for it. I've lived in japan and i know real shiro miso paste flavour. And this is that. Also, eventhough it's supposed to be fermented, almost everywhere for the sake of safe storage and transportation, they heat treat it and what you get is just miso taste and soy paste. Not much nutritional value left. But, these guys are 100% genuine.As soon as I received the package, i opened the bottles, the seal was intact in one. I saw their instructions on their Amazon webpage, to open slightly to release the fermented gases. And yes, only half is filled for safety reasons. Because of live probiotics, they can only fill that much.That's why I got 2 bottles.The second one once i unscrewed the cap, the seal was slightly leaking, but everything was otherwise intact.I can't believe i was buying from genuine Japanese sellers and even they were selling processed miso with none of the live probiotics.So count yourself lucky.READ THEIR PAGE PROPERLY ON WHAT TO EXPECT. Why the seal might get broken, why it's only filled halfway.After opening and checking, i have kept in the fridge now so there's no more fermentation. So far, happy with the purchase.
