Exactly what we were after. A basic doorbell. Plugged it in. It works. The sticky tape that comes with the door bell button is pretty strong and has stuck to brick work (and stayed!).The different volumes are useful. Loud is plenty loud enough and the quietest setting isn't so quiet that you can't hear it.
